  1. Boats.net has parts digrams for all outboards. I see what i need, get part number, then goto Jaminsons. Steave at the parts counter is very good and will tell you what usealy goes bad, and what you need. I live in Big Flats and after shipping, and the I want it now syndrome, the price is not bad. Dick B.
  2. been looking for years. still buying what anyone has.
  3. my Iphone 4 always locks up. I did all the updates and it still does it so i have to turn off the phone. Safari only works when you have wifi close.
  4. I see it is working again! I live in elmira and this is the best for deciding to make the trip or not. If anyone knows who runs the cam, please give them my apperication, and Thanks!! wish there were more and maybe on Keuka. Dick B.
  5. Launched out fo Clute at 10 am went up to painted rocks just looking. Water was dirty-cloudy along east side. Went to west side and marked fish in random pods all over. Trolled up past tiki bar and just hit a few small land locks 1 legal. pulled up and ran north to Glenora, set up at noon and went north over 70-150ft of water. 1/2 mile up had a screamer take off. Jumped out of water 3 times before it went straght out to the side and would NOT come in. Finally netted a fat 27" rainbow! released after in good shape. set up again and 10 minutes later hit another. This one put on a good show, and carried my 28oz weight all over the place. Finally got him in and found he had a lampray stuck in his gills. Lampray fell off and was released in two pieces, Bow was bleeding would not revive. boxed the 26" bow. Ran home. down 70' over 150' with 3 leader rig. fish came on 2nd spoon. approx, 40ft.down. all on hammered silver&brass Sutton #21s 1.6 mph Very few weeds, and NO fleas! great day Dick B.
  6. Heard 35" 15 lb off bluff anyone have info? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Keuka is always hard after a major discoloring. This one has been bad for along time. The underground springs are usely packed. try the Chatue Dugas hole, or the cut going toward it from the state boat launch about half way there. good clear water pours in to it. Dick B.
  8. 50 years ago my grandfather showed this to my cousin and myself with a protractor, ruler, and a compass. this is why he had a fast seth green rig, and a slow rig. different lenght to the leader attach point, and differant leader lenght. differant spoons, differant speeds. My grandfather loved to teach us math, and catch more fish. Dick B.
  9. Check out this thread. you will learn a lot! Pulling Copper vs Seth Green Rig Started by Gill-T, May 16 These are my go-to techniques when I want to catch fish. pulling copper is a good search method to find fish to jig. Two pulls on the oares 3 pulles on the copper. My Grandmother loved to watch us get pulled 1.5 miles up the lake by a big laker! also a great way to catch jack perch,& huge smallmouth! just vary your depth. Dick B. p.s. when the fog rolled in on keuka, throw the line in pull for 5 minutes and you knew where you were, and how to get home. learn the contours, bottom type, and hangups in a hurry.
  10. Where on keuka are you? This is a great way of fishing! I just got my finger healed from a big laker! Great for jack perch, and big smallies Ps my rig looks like that exept the lure. look up my posts Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. Are the fleas that bad already? If I were near Branchport, I would bonce bottom from before the south end of the "sand bar" go north at 60ft of water till i hit the cilft where gynoga creek dumps in. its very sharp and tight. turn towards the park and fish the depthline. be carefull of the mud flat, lakers 60ft and down, perch 55 ft, smalies upto 45ft. the fish on the 20ft mud flat are inactive digesting sawbelies. Where the depth sawbelies are is where the active fish feed. Ck out the cut going from about the park to chinzy point. if the stream that made it is flowing good that will attract a lot of fish. I pull hand copper, and seath green rigs. Dick B
  13. I love twin minnows! Almost as good as phulger . Got me excited now!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I run leader rigs most of the time. I always use darcon as my backing becuse it is cheap, and it never wears out. very strong and I can use markers to color the line as to when I hit bottom when troling at a depth. I have two rigs, one for slow speed, and one for fast. the differance is the distance between the bead chain. slow about 20ft. fast, 27ft. i did a simple chart with angles, and depth to see where my lures would run with differant speeds, or weights. I always run 30lb line from the dacron to the first bead chain, then my spacing for the next 5 bead chains. and 3ft down to the snap swivel for the weight. My leaders are never the same length becuse i keep retying them. I start with 15 ft, so I can get my rod as far foward as i can with fish on and take leaders off and try to get the net under the fish. 12 ft is avarage. also like Sk8man they can hang and not tangle! It can get to be a handfull when 2 to 3 fish are on at once! Hope the helps everyone does it differant, but its fun. Dick B
  15. launched from clute tuesday at 11:00am and was amazed at the mud, and debri from catherene. huge plume out in the lake! trolled north past panted rocks useing FLTs. saw fish on bottom at 93 ft. water temp was all over the place from the runoff. crossed to the salt plant and went north over 93 to 200 ft zig zaging for an hour. lures at 70,55,40,20, 15 ft. some fish all up and down. no pattern. finaly went back up to 1st point north of salt plant and switch to my goto sutton spoons. slowed down to 1.8 over 70 ft, and got a good brown 40ft down as i was fighiing him and taking off leaders, a land locked hit the lure above the brown and was mostly in the air. He left with my spoon and i landed the brown. about 7lbs. getting late wind picked up so trolled South 140-190ft south of salt point bait pods, and fish marks all most solid down to 40ft. peetered out south of the Tiki. had two hits nobody home. off the lake by 4:30. 1 brown bad sunburn! lots of wood just outside the mud plume, poor idiot in the speed boat! Good luck!! Dick B.
  16. Good job! Really appreciate your dedication and expertise. thank you Dick B

  18. What ever happened to the cam that was 1/8 mile up from watkins? I loved it to tell me what the water, and wind was actualy doing real time! (My wife could keep track of me too.) Any other cams showing the lake? Keuka or Seneca. Thanks
  19. The bimi top was and still is the problem when I posted "how to rig my boat". Skman suggested the vertical back straps but they are still in the way for leader rigs, and rod holders, and berts tracks. Very intersted in what you do. Iam trying the straps close to the motor on both sides of the transom. can't fight a fish in the prop anyway Thanks Dick B
  20. older 1605 spectrum where do I place my dipsy rods, leader rods, and rigers? The bimi top is a pain! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! ckeck out the picts. Thanks. pictures would be good.
