  1. Congrats Matt, great story! You did everything right, especially being willing to leave. Big kudos to your bride for being willing to let him go that young, thats the key.
  2. Congrats Scott! Great story.
  3. Congrats on your PB buck!
  4. Congrats! Great memories.
  5. Congrats! Great story and definitely a "bulldozer" buck!
  6. Congrats, beautiful deer!
  7. Congrats to both Dad and daughter!
  8. Actually Jerry, it was Freds bro Dougs bow. Both of them meet the description anyways, fine men and sportsmen. From what I understand, a fellow bowhunter from Canisteo picked up the bow and backpack and was fortunate enough to find a name. With the assistance of the DEC was able to track ownership through Dougs purchase of his hunting license. Kudos to all who assisted, because I can tell you Doug would have done the same for another hunter.
  9. Congrats!
  10. Congrats on the beautiful deer!
  11. Great news! The bow has been returned! I dont know the details yet but someone did the right thing.
  12. When it comes to archery hunting, sometimes its hard to believe that it EVER all comes together.
  13. Congrats Pete!
  14. Yes, its a longshot, but posting this for one of the greatest humans I know. I just learned that one of the gentlemen that introduced me to Whitetail hunting, left his bow on the side of Potter rd in Jasper NY and drove away to meet up with his brother down the road. When he realized an hour later what happened they returned and it was gone. If anyone hears of a Mission bow set up by Phil Race from the old "Indian Mountain archery" that just "falls into their life", please contact me or "Steelhead'r" through PM. As bowhunters understand, its not just the monetary value but the sentiments of what a great bow it was for him. Thank you. RETURNED!!! Thanks for looking.
  15. Its embarassing and sad that we live so close to Erie county. Here in Niagara county its like "little Montana", yet drive 30 mins to visit a Verizon store and you feel like you got dropped on another planet. No, our dictator gov doesnt really want all of us to leave the state because we fund his follies. I hear all the time from clients of mine how lucky we are to have all the natural resources we have in this great STATE. The way I look at it is, its more ours than his. As Jefferson once said, "when you heap people on top of each other here in cities, we will be corrupt as they are in cities in Europe."
  16. Great post Chowder. Absolutely love bowhunting but each year the all day tree stand vigils get tougher as the knees get stiffer. The camraderie aspect of deer camp or cutting a deer with friends gets better each year, however. I love wallhangers as much as anyone but I would rather see my wheelchair-bound brother score on a deer than myself. I had the priviledge of taking a young relative of my wife on a walk in the Georgia mountains last Christmas, and seeing him with his pretend shotgun and wonderment of rubs and scrapes was as good as an actual hunt.
  17. Thanks for posting. It is unfortunate that election day falls during hunting seasons, but its too important. Get out and vote, it's OUR state too!!!
  18. Congrats on the beautiful buck!
  19. Sorry for the loss of your friend, and a veteran as well. I'm sure I met him at one time around the Oak. RIP, Jim.
  20. Congrats Tank!
  21. This is a worthwhile petition, check it out.
  22. One question I have been getting, yes, this is available Spring and Summer as well, around the regulars scheduling. Thx!
  23. What its all about! Congrats to you both!
  24. G-5 Striker fixed 100 gr. Its the exit hole that matters most besides shot placement. If broadhead choice was for someone on the lower poundage draw weight I would look at the Magnus Stinger "Knife blade", as once again, its about getting through.
