  1. Maybe it is the cable and not the tube. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  2. We use a RAM mount for our Furuno 585 and it works great. Really easy to remove the sonar head and store in the cabin and than to reinstall when needed. It is strong and holds the 585 securely even in rough seas. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  3. I have them on my laptop using Windows 7 and Firefox but not on my desktop with XP and Explorer. [ Post made via iPhone ]

  6. I lived in KY for a few years as a kid. Still in PA I have an 8 hr tow to get the boat to Pt Breeze, but it's worth every minute. Enjoy the fishing and the friendships you will make. [ Post made via iPhone ]

  8. Wow - who'a thunk it. I would have thought if you got the right size the threads would match. I borrowed thread gauges from my work to check mine out and ordered what matched.
  9. Welcome to the site. We use two gimbal mounts for short armed downriggers on the corners of a Sportcraft 252. We hang p15 pound weights from them. After two seasons we have had no problems. You should make sure your rod holders are heavy duty and are secured to the gunnels with thru bolts and backing plates. I don't know how they might work with the extra stress of long booms. 14. I only get to the lake for a short time during summer. Your weekly flow of great reports gets me all fired up with anticipation. I will be anxiously waiting for the first reports from spring 2013. Have a great off season - you have a few months to learn to love your cube.

  16. We started using the Walker Deeper Divers when we got our own bigger boat three years ago. I saw them used on charters we took and they seemed esay enough to use. We have been well satsified with them. This year we also used TripZ Divers off the boards and liked them as well. Glad both will be continued.
  17. That sounds like something we could do if the schedule works out.
  18. I have a Lowrance X510C on my small boat with a transom mounted xducer. The first few years I had it the unit worked flawlessly. Then it started to lose depth at speed in hard right turns. Now it loses bottom intermittently. I guess I will try a new xducer to see if that is the problem. [ Post made via iPhone ]

  22. Every time I mention copper my son says, "That stuff can sink your boat". Read Dave Mull's boat sinking experience on Great Lakes Angler.
