  1. Went out with a buddy last night. Third set, walk into corn field and see about 10 deer. Scan to our right and a 'yote was laying down about 200 yards out. Buddy shoots and hits it, but were enable to find it after it went into the thick stuff. Two sets later, new spot for me, one came hauling ass 20 seconds after we hit the call, no video but weighed in at 42#. Was getting late, buddy headed home but i did a last set. After calling for 15 min, got this guy at 37# (video). 2/3 on 6 sets. I'll take that everyday. 1-24-26.mp4
  2. After a few years of effort, finally got a fisher. She ain't big, but its a start
  3. Ziploc/original bag with herring oil. I've stored some in my container with brine/meat in a pinch, or if ill be using it over the weekend
  4. Not the best answer, but sometimes comes down to time and place. Been part of buying a boat and experienced being part of selling a few. When selling, we had it listed for months...very few lookers, very little interest. Pulled it for a month or so, reposted, and it sold in 2 days. Right buyer, right time. Think of it from a buyer's perspective....if they see it's listed for 1.5+ years, they may question why, maybe giving them caution (when it may not be substantiated). Try pulling off for a few weeks, especially this time of year. Throw it back up in early march when people have fishing on their mind and are excited. The only 'issue' I see in your case is the trailer. People want trailers for trailerable boats, and that' an added cost (in this case) of at least $5k for a new trailer, if not more if you are going with aluminum. Just my $.02
  5. If anyone is interested in 22 ARC upper or barrel, I may know a guy....
  6. Any other action? Went out a few nights ago and called in a yearling to about 30 yards. Didn't have the heart to to take the little guy out.
  7. If everything goes to plan, should be out Saturday night. I think PA is dumping a bunch of pheasant in game lands near our camp. Hopefully the ditch chicken hunters don't scare away all the fox/'yotes after the state dumps a bunch of free food for them.
  8. Yea I have a few, shoot me a pm
  9. Technically still 2025 soooooo...got the new rig set up, just working up a load. Should be good to go once it cools down a bit and fox kicks in.
  10. I may know someone in Darien area, but she travels. PM me if you want me to see if she's interested.
  11. Can second HB2. Surface in 65-80' was around 68°, and roughly 45° down 60. Decent marks, and grabbed a handful of stagers and unicorn.
  12. a significant number of more deer will be taken in archery. This happened in PA, and we saw many less hunters in our area come gun season (as you only get one buck tag in PA). I'm all for getting more people out there, but like everything, there are pros and cons
  13. With a steady east wind next four days, where are all y'all heading this weekend? In tight for the early stagers or hitting the stable water offshore?
  14. Damn. Does anyone know of any "good" tanneries and their going rates?
  15. Closer to 1.2 miles, or 1 nm between minutes https://stevemorse.org/nearest/distance.php
  16. Depends what port you fish out of. At The Oak, break wall is about 43° 22.5" N. I'm guessing Rochester is a bit south of that.
  17. Latitude. If someone talks about fishing the 26 line, they are referring to 43°26' N
  18. Once you find the speed fish are hitting, adjust the drag on your divers so they start creeping out if/when your faster than you want to be. This may help a little when you change direction and down speed changes.
  19. Can't catch fish sitting on the couch....fishing has been pretty good last few weeks
  20. Plan on heading out Sunday. May be a bit later than what you're looking for, but i'll throw up a thread regardless
  21. Go buy another lottery ticket
  22. That was the story Sunday, but VERY few takers.....ask the 20 boats working that area Sunday afternoon.....
  23. If you have two 55L Okumas laying around, spool the 45 backwards on one, and see how much braid it'll hold. You'll be able to run more than that for the 350'. Kind of a rough way of doing it but will work. I know someone here has some formulas/spreadsheet to help calculate this stuff.
  24. I'm slipped there in May. Shoot me a PM and we can chat. I try to be out most weekends
  25. About time
