  1. Happy berf day! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  2. Wow! You guys got some big cahones going out in that boat. Nice catch!! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  3. It's got some shoulders! I think the shadow on its back makes it appear smaller. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  4. You need a spro swivel and use a haywire twist knot. Very easy to tie. Check out atommiks website to get the spro. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  5. I would do that! Both my coppers are spliced. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  6. Personally I would tie on 20 ft or so of 30 lbs mono with an albright knot or spro swivel. Then attach 15 ft of 30 lbs floro. The tubing is optional, it let's that knot go through the guides smoother. And you don't have shard ends to cut yourself on. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  7. I can't fish the tourney...just found out today mandatory OT that day for work. It was an awesome opportunity! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  8. Ive got albrights on mine now. Didn't have any spro's at the time. But I will be switching over. I've just heard they are prone to fail. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  9. You could pick up a few dipsey divers to try before you get your riggers. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  10. Maybe check with a starcraft dealer if you want a ski pylon...which holds the rope up higher. My Lowe came with one. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  11. You can use the swivels or check the knots all the time and expect a failure occasionally. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  12. No on spoons on spin drs. But you can run the spinnies with flies on wire dipseys or your downrigger rods. You would probably be wasting your time with the still fishing bait idea. But they do it on Michigan with gulp minnows after the lake flips. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  13. Buy a copper rod and a big church board. Or a wire dipsey. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  14. Wire dipsey does everything you want, in one set-up. Not gonna be too versatile with cores or coppers unless you bring a bunch of different lengths. Although you could use some different sized dive bombs to change depth. Snap weights are like wizzing in the wind unless you are fishing shallow waters. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  15. I'd buy 2 used cannon uni troll riggers, 2 rigger rods and 2 wire diver set-ups. If you already have a fish finder with gps speed. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  16. Make sure you have at least one rod way down deep in the ice water. Sometimes that's where the big guys hang out! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  17. I'd like to see somebody break the state record!! Could be the year for it!! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  18. I don't think Sunday would be bad. But Fri and Sat will be a pia. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  19. Oak orchard, Oswego or Olcott July-Aug. [ Post made via iPhone ]
