  1. Cabelas made covers for Lowe boats. I believe they discontinued them. I nabbed one off eBay last summer for $50. Decent but thin material. The factory covers are a lot nicer. Try their bargain center. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  2. Windex and a microfiber cloth. Rub lightly! You gotta clean and lightly dry dry several times. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  3. The bass are biting in the finger lakes!! (hides under table) I clobbered em yesterday 4 largest were 4-5 lbs. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  4. Thanks skipper! I did some reading last night on lowrance website and I did see something about the resets. Just wasn't sure if it was something minor (i missed) before I tried them. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  5. My elite 5 dsi (with navionics gold chip) has been fairly trouble free since getting it last year. With the exception of an occasional hiccup. But just turn off and back on...fixed. Today it wouldn't show any of my old paths, poi, depth charts or even that you were on a lake. With the exception of the first minute after the unit is powered on it would show a zoomed out view of the lake with poi. Then 30 seconds later it beeps...position acquired...then tan background showing position (like on dry land) with no old paths/poi/depth/blue designation of water. It would sporadically show the cursor as a question mark. I dont have an external antenna. But its worked fine without it for the last year+. I played around with it all day bass fishing and adjusted everything you could. I took these 3 pics within a minute. It was communicating with the satelite because it had the correct lat/long. What do you guys think? [ Post made via iPhone ]

  8. I have the elite 5 dsi. It's a nice unit! Although the dsi feature is useless for trolling for salmon. And the max depth it reads is around 300 ft. The non dsi has more depth capacity. Fyi-the dsi is great for jigging eyes and smallmouth! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  9. LOL...guess I will never live that story down! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  10. I keep my drags tight in the rod holder. No snubbers. Keep a lot of tension on line as you pull the rod out of the holder. Then keep the rod tip up and bent. I don't back off the drag too much unless it's a monster making a run...and I feel I'm at the breaking point of the line. I use light action dipsey rods with a lot of flex. So they take a lot of the stress. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  11. I have the trol-a-Matic plate on my 90 hp mercury. You will lose some top end. But it will troll down to 1.0 mph. http://www.savvyboater.com/store/p/879- ... Plate.aspx [ Post made via iPhone ]
  12. Should I finally upgrade the 12 lbs leaders? And 20 lbs leads on the dipseys? Maybe a little! LOL [ Post made via iPhone ]

  17. Same happened to me $100ish order almost a month ago. Called 5 times and got somebody on the horn last Thursday. She specifically said no more glo ssw. They are working on a uv version. They were supposed to call me back that day about my order. Never did. They could have at least emailed me back 2 weeks ago. I would have been satisfied with that. Btw my buddy just started painting spoons and does a heck of a job. He powder coats them to a glossy durable finish. If you want to talk to bobby about an order send him an e-mail: [email protected] [ Post made via iPhone ]
