  1. has anyone replaced the prop lately?
  2. I would just pull the motor and take it and have it disassembled and magnafluxed. only real way to find cracks.
  3. My 15 horse kicker is a real bugger to try to lift out of the water.

  5. You have obviously never fished with a Bill Dance, Dancing Eel.LOL
  6. If you trailer your boat with big jons, you must hook em down to something or they will literally flop themselves to pieces. I have a variety of riggers on my boats.. Big jons are nice that you can lift them up to bring the ball to you... that is where the extent of their value ends for me.. Otherwise they are a rattly mess of milled gaulding aluminum parts. I prefer my cannons over any other brand..
  7. Go to a tire shop and buy some stick on weights.. lead tape.. then drive a nail or a screw through it to secure permanently.
  8. Ford Chevy Dodge. But Tabman, from Bennett took care of me on some new o rings. and I bought the boat used.. Sent them to me free.. If I was buying new, I would stay with hydraulic as opposed to electrics...Nothing in the water is going to corrode on a hydraulic unit... Every thing electrical is tucked up in the dry out of the weather..
  9. I would like lot #3 if still available. Thanks
  10. Just lower the engine down as far as you can. let it drain well. You are winterized.
  11. If you do not have trim tabs..and the boat is steering to the left.. Time to get a skinnier port side passenger.. Serious note.. is the boat listing to the side? or just pulling?
  12. I figure that 4 cylinder is likely not enough butt to put you up on plane. I will give you a little for instance my 19 foot deep vee boat with a 115 merc on the back will take 2 people and my 40 gallon bait tank a flying out of the hole.. add 2 more people to the mix, another 400 pounds.. and it labors like hell to get out of the hole and drinks gas like it is free.. This is running a 17 pitch prop. Rpms do not get near the powerband.. Dropping a 15 pitch prop on there and it will hop out of the hole and run in the desired rpm range and consume about half the fuel. You might need to just simply replace the prop with the next lower pitch to gain some power.
  13. I have always taken my kids fishing.. and often their friends too. My youngest daughter my son A friends son. My sons buddy My buddy and his daughter.
  14. a dude posted some awesome pics of some pigs he caught this past week over on spoonpullers forum..
  15. Here is a link to where I buy all of my striper gear. they sell a spoon version with several color options.using only one spoon with a hook. http://www.cnksaltwatertackle.com/page/page/3264341.htm
  16. If you accept paypal and will ship.. Count me in on the 47LC with the wire.for 110$. You say 900' is that 450' on each?
  17. A typical u rig pulls pretty hard. I typically run mine down the chute for stripers/wipers. I am not sure how most states are ruling on the number of hooks deal. I do not take any chances in Indiana I only run at most two lures with hooks.. The others are just swimbaits,or chrome spoons without any hooks.
  18. Add a set of offshore or walleye planer boards.
  19. I used siggs riggs once. Used Purple taco once. PT shipping was ridiculously slow. But the next time I buy it will be from Big Weenie. he is of great help over the phone if you have questions. Plus he is very free about close up shots of his current flies. So my vote is Big Weenie. Plus purple taco, nothing came labeled as to what color it was actually called. So it makes it hard to remember what components went in to each fly variety.
