  1. Appreciate it guys, I'm thinking it will be either the HDS 5 or 7 Gen 2. I rarely fish deeper then 120, would the standard transducer work alright for that depth?
  2. Looking to buy a new fishfinder. I've always had humminbirds, but i see the HDS series and I hear good things about the Dragonfly. I troll primarily but do a good amount of jigging in the summer in the finger lakes. Anyone have suggestions on a nice unit and why?
  3. I'm curious about this as well!
  4. My brother landed a 5lb + smallmouth on cowbells after popping the rigger to check the bait. Pretty fun to watch, and that fish really smashed it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  10. I'll be out this weekend and was hoping to troll but it sounds like that may not be an option with the recent flea reports.
  11. If you decide to spilt them up I'll take the 71s Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Grandpa, Welcome back! Owasco has been hot lately, I saw some pretty big perch get weighed in the derby last weekend.
  13. Jig the bluff, you will catch lakers.
  14. Don't mean to bump up an old thread but I'm about to make a large purchase of FLT spoons, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the fingerlakes package?
  15. I like using it early in the morning deep, but also deadly on the 300' copper.
  16. I run the 44 on the inside and have the drag set just above a creep, that way we're listening for fish not watching the boards.
  17. Awesome rainbow! We got into a few browns and tons of good sized lakers but couldn't locate and bows at all. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. I use 25lb mono mainline knotted to 25 feet of 12lb floro, helps to keep the fleas at bay.
  19. Thanks guys, honestly we wouldn't be able to have the success that we do without reading your reports.
  20. We made the board for lakers! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. Started the weekend early by taking off on Friday, and man did it pay off. We only landed 4 small lakers but gained valuable information for the derby. Saturday: Left the dock at 5 and started setting lines at 5:30. After 6 is when all the action happened, from then on I couldn't keep more then 3 lines in the water. We went on to Land a total of 10 lakers and 2 browns. The first brown was just shy of 6lbs and our biggest by far. We also ended up landing the first place laker that weighed in at 8.5lbs. Every rod took a fish, and we quit by 8. Sunday: Left the dock at the same time and made it to our spot by 5:30. As soon as I set the 1st rigger and reached for the 2nd rod we were hooked up. The action was fast and furious for an hour or so and again every rod took a fish. We quit by 7 with a total of 8 small lakers and several near collisions by fellow fishermen... Anyway, we had our best weekend ever and I couldn't be more happy with the results. I hope everyone had fun too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
