Im out of Sandy as well. I fish the nose to lighthouse. My point I guess is I would have no interest in walking on mossy wet wood to launch a boat. Should that be the case I would launch at Bald Eagle or any other place close.

well it is the Sandy Creek Shootout lol.

Took some folks from NH out today. Went 0 for 7 the first hour but oh well. ended up with 10 kings and a bow. Released half a dozens shorts and skips. smoke was thick and water was warm. Best water by far was 330 and 400 coppers pulling meat and divers out 200 took most shots. Didn’t catch a decent king on spoons. Had three over 20 with one just over 23. Conditions are changing rapidly and the weekend looks interesting.

For browns? Yeah I’ll give you that. kings and Bows? No shot.

Hard to know if people are too cheap to pay$10, or don’t like trying new places, or think another 6 miles is too far. To also get to drop just west of the nose is a plus too. Half the launchers at Sandy burn more in gas getting there to fish than if they drove and paid. Can lead a horse to water but………..

Absolutely. When it’s an unsafe situation which it is, they should shut it down. I may be wrong but I think it’s a state launch not a Hamlin launch. Hamlin is probably responsible for cutting grass.

Bald Eagle six miles to the west is awesome. That is where you should go next time.

I nominate Gator to go speak with the parents. Scott would ask to use their bathroom, bad look for sure.

I don’t do Facebook but someone that does puts it up in Hamlin you will find out quickly who the kids are.

Should put a trail camera there or two. maybe place a cooler or some other decoy to lure them into camera range.

Had a four hour trip with 2 guys and their four sons all under 13. Figured we would keep them busy with lakers and the lake didn’t disappoint. Two over 20lbs.
