  1. I run two boats with BJ electric masts both are wired direct to battery . One mast has the small motors the other has the HD motors . Otter boards on both set-ups and neither has ever tripped the breakers on the motors . One set-up is two years old the other is over ten .
  2. X2 on 50lb Big Game Ties a better knot it's tough and inexpensive. Flouro is over rated for trolling applications IMHO.
  3. We run two boats . Bert's on one Cannons on the other both are good products at a fair price . If you run divers the pull up feature is a big plus when a big king smashes your set.
  4. Dick Swan fished Kings with a noodle rod and 2 lb test bragged about it. If you want to kill fish and take all day to get them in be my guest. 12lb works but big kings with multi rods and baits and not stopping the boat ? Don't bring a BB gun to a gunfight!
  5. Yes they work . I have used a 6" and a 4" Lazers last season paired with a Bosch Lithium Ion cordless drills in 18 and 36 volt hammer drills . Nils makes drills with the adapter built in . They come in 4.5 6" and 8" they work very well. As for a driver they don't mate up .
  6. I use a Jason Mitchell 2 man thermal lots of room and heavy pull it with a Skandic Wide track . The thermals are great the light holes in the cover are nothing to worry about . You may get away with a Clam Nanook it comes in thermal but you will be on the edge of pulling by hand . 85lbs .
  7. X2 what tplatt stated . With little ones pick a good day no harse wind or weather a hub easy to pack and set-up lots of room add a heater and you are good to go .A flip up one man is going to be tight with kids being busy etc . Some good prices on pop-ups right now.
  8. I have used the Clam .6 for a couple of years runnin' and gunnin perch . I get about 50 perch minnows in which is plenty . The insulated cover keeps them from freezing up and lack of oxegen doesn't seem to be a problem in the cold. Hope this helps.
  9. Twice during the spring hunt one jumped my decoy . The other one cost me a big gobbler things happened so fast never got a shot off. I give them hell in the Feb breeding season off my kitchen deck . Remington 40xb 85 grain hollow points 6 to 20 Leupold nice easy 325 yd shot to the corner of my hay field .Don't keep poultry anymore because the yots are that thick around here.
  10. Hey Foley (blue knight) we all know you run spin doctors when no one is looking !
  11. They stimulate my old aging brain. All good fun.
  12. # 5 I have a few of them they were sold by Big Jon I will try to dig up the name , By the way the Alpena Diamonds don't work I will dispose of them for you. My opinion keep them all .
  13. They don't catch fish . Give them to me and I will dispose of them for you !!Last I heard they were available on line for 11 bucks a piece . Troll them slow slow they can be killers.
  14. Nice buck that young lady must have nerves of steel . Most guys would have a hard time keeping their cool on a buck like that . Congrates on a job well done .
  15. Ticks were abundant this year our farm was loaded with them this year. They have to be on your skin and imbedded for 24 hours and have the lime virus before it becomes a issue.
  16. Tim correct me if I am wrong those motors on your Cisco's look like the same motors BigJon use on their electric mast Pro Tourny HD"s .
  17. Just changed mine over the switches are rocker the same as the ones on the riggers . The kit is complete and comes with the heavy duty motors all hardware and lifetime warranty . Nice kit I paid $500 retail list is over $600 .
  18. Thanks for the post JD your video helped me make up my mind which electric knife to buy .
  19. What John said X2. I run 2 Moors on both boats the most important thing is fresh high quality batteries . I have had fish hawks good units but not totally free of issues use them long and hard and things show up .
  20. JD got it right in my books . Feed the cat if you are worried about the boney waste.
  21. The Moor cable is not pricey and if treated properly it holds up well . Got 4 seasons on my first one and don't forget you can reverse it on the rigger spool for more life. It would be nice if the pro staff did not respond to these post.
  22. I ran a 70s unit on our small boat this season the 50 is the same thing downsized without touch screen . Garmin has the Bluechart which has great lake Ontario contours and features at Approx $150 and the vision card at $300 plus has 3D perspective etc . I have both but prefer the Bluechart it's all you need in the 50s . The gps has good draw times and options . The fish finder is kick ass for sure nice unit . We run a 4210 and 4212 on our big boat I I can honestly say the 70s doesn't give up much to those pricey units . Try the Bluechart I am sure you will be impressed. Hope this helps at that price point for the 50 you can't go wrong . My two cents .
