  2. Someone had a cool idea, he had a skate board coming back from the lot.... Young at heart! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  3. Went out of Sandy as well, a little west, I stayed in that 140-150 depth as well, lost a screamer, dropped two more, ended with some stud lakers, rainbows, and a acrobatic Atlantic. All released. Boys had fun. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  4. responsibilities between vessels - Who has the right of way?1. A power-driven vessel underway must keep out of the way of:-A vessel not under command (unable to maneuver). -A vessel restricted in its ability to maneuver.-A vessel engaged in fishing.*-A sailing vessel.2. A sailing vessel underway must keep out of the way: -A vessel not under command.-A vessel restricted in its ability to maneuver.-A vessel engaged in fishing.*3. A vessel engaged in fishing* when underway must, so far as possible, keep out of the way of:-A vessel not under command.-A vessel restricted in its ability to maneuver.*A vessel engaged in fishing does not include fishing with trollinglines or other apparatus which does not restrict maneuverability. (ie. Sport Fishing) This from the NYS boaters guide. It's what I always went by. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  5. Definitely an impact to the fisheries somewhere. I'll have to look back a couple of years ago after a derby someone asked why we were releasing breeder lakers we caught during it to let them fight another day, the person said the lake had too many and we needed to cull the population. Mmmmm. Well consider it culled I guess.
  6. Made the trip up to olcott. I think it's worth the trip. Did 1 major and 3 smaller ones, some bows and lost others. Made the mistake of going out to 300. When I got back to 180 lights went on. Son had a ball.
  7. Sorry Jason. Not your lures. I will say the guy that lost em took a great deal of time tying it up.
  8. Yea not the one I grabbed either. Thanks for the reply.
  9. Meyer, do you remember what spoons were on it? Mainline type?

  14. Interesting I sent some communication to the senior professor there telling him about how the formation of the belhurst hole has dramatically changed /shifted You can see 200ft depths where it used to be only 135 ft depths. I was thinking something let loose.
  15. I can see this question being asked, but the story of this derby when it started way back when was to target the fishing traditions and families that would enter it even if they fished from shore. We sometimes forget that this isn't meant to be a bass masters classic or a triple crown salmon tournament, this was meant to get everyone that has a fishing rod try their luck whether by boat or shore. #1 rule on your registration is to follow DEC rules. I wouldn't want to change that by going to no bait or artificial only. Just my humble opinion. Honestly, thanks for asking the question , it gives us a realty check on why certain things are or shouldn't be.
  16. Great Pics!
  17. #6 on registration card, can win more than one prize with another fish.
  18. Last time I picked on the Southenders Les I think they won it..... Lol
  19. Good luck to all you guys today and for the weekend! Great fish lake bound!
  20. My hats of to ya! What a project, nice work and congrats on a dream of a rig! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  21. Thanks Jason for the information, I would suggest that if anyone has a serious interest in attending to reach out to Colin Morehouse or Jim Fluker. They are present during the derby down at either the weigh in at Geneva or the sign up location prior to at Lake street winery. I think from what's been said about this being a critical moment in time with this possibly ending, I wouldn't want anyone with good intentions of keeping it alive prevented from attending. Go right to the source if you have a strong interest! I for one want to hear what the deal is and what future plans are being discussed.Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  22. I like where this going guys, and hats off to those taking the time in finding out the deal. This is cool stuff and will be contagious to others to join in on the support. If and when you need help soliciting for venues in such I'm in.
  23. Lol, you forgot to add no tangles on the Seth greens with the Kings Bob ..... Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  24. This is a sad topic I agree. And yes Geneva officials need to step up and take control. And I'm not bashing the groups that supported this, a lot of hard work by many to put this on every year, so please don't respond that your offended if your involved in anyway. The issue here is lack of leadership for a succession plan. This time that has come is of no surprise. No body on that board however wanted to let go of the reins. Others that had an interest in stepping up to run it were quickly ousted. The leaders kept this close to them without anyone allowed to step up and take over or make any changes to the format, process etc. with that being said its a long commitment for someone that I wish we could find to keep it going and continue, and as I have said before if it's not in Geneva, oh well, get it to Sampson, Watkins, wherever, I'll still support it and be happy that it still is part of Seneca Tradition! I've been in it for over 35 yrs, hate for it to end. I'll help move the sign out of Geneva to a new location if it means to keep it going. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
