OSWEGO AND HENDERSON
greenboatluke replied to hard knox's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
105 (give or take) was the depth reading on the fishhawk for the probe. Maybe it needs to be calibrated? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United -

We were reading 42 on my rigger out 115 on the cable. With blow back it was around 105 give or take. Had gear from there and up to 80. Fishhawk x4d is new to my boat, first use yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United -

Here's a pic of a noaa map. General areas you may have heard of... We were out past the finger. Over 150 fow, manage 2 lakers off spoon down 115 on rigger counter, lost one trying to steer it away from the kicker and 1 king on a 450 copper with a spoon. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14 -

Yeah, here til Saturday. Let me know when you're around. Wind is suppose to come down tonight, so hopefully it'll be ok in the morning. Headed out of Stony and see what it looks like. If it's still nasty out there, I'll pack it in, pic up my bait and try to get some perch. Really want to be out deep though. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I was out at the finger last week for only a couple hours, lost 1 on the 450, another slammed a dipsy and broke off taking everything. More expensive than successful trip. Schools of bait on the graph and some hooks around. I'm most likely heading out of Stony Creek tomorrow, weather pending. Will report. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United -

I grew up in Dewitt, near LeMoyne college. On the east side (suburbs). We were close to I 690, which made getting anywhere relatively quick and easy. I went to the Jamesville-DeWitt school district, which was and still is a very good school district. If you want a little more space, check out Jamesville. Same district, more outdoorsy. I spent a lot of time at my uncle's and friends out there hunting and fishing. I miss it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I know you're talking about a chute rod, but I got tite lok holders for the gunwhales. They're on the inexpensive side for metal holders and can be removed, only leaving the small plate. (You can see the little black mounting plate. I'll remove the holder when I get a chance and post another pic.) It might be worth spending $80 and having 1 on each side to get your spread balanced and further out. Just my opinion. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14 -

I did my 1966 Starcraft. Got the old algae and water deposits off with vinegar and water, wire wheel, and 80 grit sandpaper. Wiped it down with a tack cloth. Hit the bottom bare aluminum with etching primer and just scuffed the sides and bow with 80 grit, tack cloth, then paint. I used rustoleum tractor paint. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

My almost 6 year old wanted to go out fishing today, so we launched around 2 in Sackets and headed out. I had a minnow bucket failure two days ago on account of the wind and lost the 2 dozen I had trapped. Managed to catch 2 before we went out. Those 2 caught 5 nice size perch, the rest came on worms. We fished for about a half hour. She had a blast. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
