  1. Found good temps down 100 over 150 near the finger. 2 lakers on a spoon and a king on the 450 copper. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Fished this morning from 6:30-10:00. Good temps down around 100 ft over 150 near the finger. 2 lakers took a spoon down 115 on the rigger. Picked up a king on a 450 copper with a spoon. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Here's a pic of a noaa map. General areas you may have heard of... We were out past the finger. Over 150 fow, manage 2 lakers off spoon down 115 on rigger counter, lost one trying to steer it away from the kicker and 1 king on a 450 copper with a spoon. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  4. You had the Penn Yan this morning? Same riggers as me? Good to see you found this site! There's truly a wealth of info here and great, experienced people that'll share. Ask questions and read discussions. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Yeah, here til Saturday. Let me know when you're around. Wind is suppose to come down tonight, so hopefully it'll be ok in the morning. Headed out of Stony and see what it looks like. If it's still nasty out there, I'll pack it in, pic up my bait and try to get some perch. Really want to be out deep though. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Any recent reports? Anybody out last weekend or earlier this? Planning to head out in the a.m. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. I was out at the finger last week for only a couple hours, lost 1 on the 450, another slammed a dipsy and broke off taking everything. More expensive than successful trip. Schools of bait on the graph and some hooks around. I'm most likely heading out of Stony Creek tomorrow, weather pending. Will report. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Yes, bring it. You'll be upset if you don't. I'm here now, in Clayton at 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel with the lady for a little anniversary trip without the kids. Next year the boat is coming. You'll be able to run up and down the river without a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Ok. Thanks. I'll keep an eye on them when I do my check. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Do you mean the washer with the nubs on it to keep oriented, forward or aft or perpendicular to the boat? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. Thanks minion. Mine are bolted through the metal gunwhale and I give them a hard wiggle at the launch (or night before) every couple trips. I hear you though. Good advice. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  12. There's an inner pond inside of Stony Island... my brother and I have talked about overnighting there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. This is to the wall in shipping lanes. I come the other way, and that's as far as i'd go, so I don't know if there are locations closer. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  14. I grew up in Dewitt, near LeMoyne college. On the east side (suburbs). We were close to I 690, which made getting anywhere relatively quick and easy. I went to the Jamesville-DeWitt school district, which was and still is a very good school district. If you want a little more space, check out Jamesville. Same district, more outdoorsy. I spent a lot of time at my uncle's and friends out there hunting and fishing. I miss it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. This is the only piece that needs to be permanently mounted for tite lok holders This is more for anyone else following the thread, than me trying to convince you or your dad! [emoji23] - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  16. Haha. Ok. Totally understandable!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. I know you're talking about a chute rod, but I got tite lok holders for the gunwhales. They're on the inexpensive side for metal holders and can be removed, only leaving the small plate. (You can see the little black mounting plate. I'll remove the holder when I get a chance and post another pic.) It might be worth spending $80 and having 1 on each side to get your spread balanced and further out. Just my opinion. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  18. Ok. Haha! Sorry for not reading the post right. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  20. I did my 1966 Starcraft. Got the old algae and water deposits off with vinegar and water, wire wheel, and 80 grit sandpaper. Wiped it down with a tack cloth. Hit the bottom bare aluminum with etching primer and just scuffed the sides and bow with 80 grit, tack cloth, then paint. I used rustoleum tractor paint. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. You can see the rounds sticking out. I used ones tall enough that the wheel would hit the ground. Also, I used the rustoleum tractor paint. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  22. My almost 6 year old wanted to go out fishing today, so we launched around 2 in Sackets and headed out. I had a minnow bucket failure two days ago on account of the wind and lost the 2 dozen I had trapped. Managed to catch 2 before we went out. Those 2 caught 5 nice size perch, the rest came on worms. We fished for about a half hour. She had a blast. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  23. From what I know (and have been told) the mountain is closer to Stony Point than the finger... The crosshairs are on the top of it. You can see the mark for Stony Lighthouse above the blue question mark. It's drops off into the trench. Sometimes the fish hug it. Like the wall make sure your down rigger drag is set loose. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
