  1. Trailered the boat from Pittsburgh to Wilson on thursday to get in on some LOC King action. I had only fished the bar one day a few years ago, so we were going in pretty blind. Thurs afternoon launched out of the Fort and fished the bar from 3pm to dark. Had spoons, FF, and meat all through the column in 60-180 fow, and couldnt move a rod. Friday, after some intel we got Thurs night, launched from Olcott in the dark at 5 am, went east to the power plant, and went 10-13 on kings in 60-120 fow. All spoons. 150 copper, ten color, riggers, and divers all went. Sat, launched even earlier at 430, headed east again. Moved a rod or two on small kings early, but marks were gone from the day before. Saw a lotta big charters and tourney boats heading further east, so we made the move. Wayy slow again, only picked up 7 king bites between 730 am and 5 pm, but they were all good ones. All spoons, all but one on riggers. Ended up with one 19 lb 10 oz and one 20 lb 12 oz, which got us at #15 on the board. Overall, great trip. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Also fishing from Pgh! Really appreciate the report Yankee. Nice work. Will be on the bar thurs-sun this week. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I used these a few years back on some excavation projects along the chesapeake that required major dewatering during high tides. I’ve seen them work really well. Just pray they dont spring a leak, dont ask me how I know... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. I had a slow morning out of Mexico as well. 2 for 3. Went east and west, saw some marks, saw some other boats netting fish, just couldnt get a program together Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Are you asking if you should look for another motor? This is what I have. Similar transom. Works well with my T9.9 https://www.iboats.com/shop/panther-fixed-outboard-motor-bracket-model-27.html Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Fished 0730-1130 north / east of the launch. Finished 8-10 with a few decent ones, mostly cookie cutters. All orange and chatreuse stingers and bay rats. Stinger UV yellow tuxedo on a 2color was the hottest rod. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Pull amish outfitter white poly boards. They pull very hard, probably harder than my old otter boats. Yes, run copper, lead, etc. Really just need to make sure your gunnels can take it. I have a ton of reinforcement under my tracks that the masts are mounted in, and use snubbers on the boards too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Yes. Really like them. Need to make wider turns than with a bow mast though. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Oh boy, new project? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Done. PM me and let me know how you want me to pay ya Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I’ll take. Any idea shipping to 13685? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Although I believe they dropped production starting in 2010, the Boston Whaler Ventura 210 would be a great model to consider if you can find a good used 2000s era for sale. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. This looks like a great rig at a very good price. Would wonder about perfomance with that 150 as stated above, but those zukes are typically overperformers from what I’ve read. Great enginees. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. The specs on mine show a draft of 15" engine up, 33" engine down.
  15. I do have to say though, before I bought this rig, I was on the lookout for a Striper 2101 dual console, just couldnt find one in my price range. They are set up very similarly, just minus a foot or two. Mine is 23' LOA with the pulpit.
  16. I have a 2004 Wellcraft 220 Sportsman dual console. Absolutely love it. Would like to get a custom hard top made for it someday. Can trailer anywhere (i trailer from sackets harbor to Wilson and Erie PA a few times a year), cruise around on a nice day with 6-7 people, or can hard core fish 4 guys and 8 rods. Let me know if you want any more info.
  17. You can likely get it below 1000 rpms, but what does she look like from the rear? Are we talking a new one? Two ideas come to mind: https://adventuremarine.ca/product/swim-step-motor-bracket/ https://www.iboats.com/shop/panther-fixed-outboard-motor-bracket-model-27.html?cm_mmc=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImNDZ4qHd4AIVBbbACh30hwjYEAQYAiABEgKqpPD_BwE I have the latter mounted on my Wellcraft 220 Sportsman with a T9.9. The adventure bracket is really nice if the swim step would allow for it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Along the same lines as above, Stingray Lance’s 2face was really hot for me from May through August last year. Had three of them in the arsenal and they all were tore up like this one. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Yes, for walleye on erie out of Erie PA. Worked well, but didnt seem to catch any better than normal worm harnesses. May have picked up a few more whites on these than blade harnesses too. That being said, anything we put in the water got bit last year pretty well. Just needed to be in the right depth at the right time. They do work and like to add in the arsenal, but not a magic lure for us.
  20. my outside 10.5' dipsey rods are okuma GLT's. I've never used Talora's, but cant say too much bad about the okumas. Cheap too.
  21. Not a bad idea, will have to see how they fit in there and if I can keep from bouncing around. Was thinking maybe something along the lines of a wakeboard tower rack? Anyone ever use something like one of these for boards? may or may not work back to back with the bungee going through the center of both. https://www.amazon.com/Wakeboard-Polished-Adjustable-Wakeboarding-Towers/dp/B00CA5UJ6S/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1547058247&sr=1-3&keywords=wakeboard+tower+rack
  22. Anyone have any ideas or contraptions in use for storage of big boards on your boat while underway? I was thinking of some type of rack that I could mount on a rail or somewhere so they wouldnt slide all around and get damaged/ smash toes. I currently run the white amish collapsible big boards and hate collapsing and reassembling every time. Would like to mount to a rail on the bow, or maybe the rail in front of my splash well? Boat pics to help with what im trying to do.
  23. Diluted Krud Kutter from lowes and a good scrub brush. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for the tough blood spot stains in the corners that have been there since May...
  24. Saw two does and a fawn tonight in 6G. Nothing with horns. Perfect wind out of the NE for a hedgerow stand along some standing corn. Couldnt pass up this girl at 18yds quartering away. Felt good to break in the new mathews triax. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. 4-7 today, most action before 8:30 am. Shut down for me after that. FF, spoons, meat, all fired. 130-140 fow, down 58-70 or so. Had one dipsey fire at 10 am, but pretty much shut down after 8:30 am. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
