  1. Butter milk falls gets a spring run of trout from the lake and there are stocked creeks all around you there. Also look up at Salmon creek for trout in the spring. Some good hunting to and a lot of state lands open to you.....jk

    Keuka Mixed Bag

Bait bucket, did you try for trout?
  3. Nice catch. lot of nice eating there.....jk
  4. That is what this site is all about, helping people. I don't fish Cayuga mush anymore, my buddy does not like the bigger water. Just saying thank to all the helpers on here.....jk
  5. Hay we fish Keyuka every week too. We start out for the skinny lakers(taste good) then when the sun gets up and usually the lakers stop biting we go for the pan fish. We usually get several bull heads, 5 or 6. The last time out the lakers started to bite late in the morning (like 8am) at the bluffs and we did not fish for pan fish. But the pan fish are fun and good to eat too. Lively1 were you one of the boats at the bluffs, that was the most boats we have seen in a long while......jk
  6. Hard thing to do, sorry about your loss......jk
  7. PIKE where are the pike??? We used to go to Chibagamau 2 times a year, lots of pike, I like pike too. We fished a different lake every day, always a good time and yes we too have had problems at the border, twice by female officers......jk

We are going tomorrow morning to the bluffs first for trout then the shore line for pan fish, bass and pickeral. Every week....jk
  9. Doesn't the marina still have a launch? I haven't been there in 8 or 9 years. we used to launch there and park our rig at the parking lot across the street and south 200 yards. Was $5 each......jk

    Seneca Gill nets

What lake??? Keyuka? If so was surprised to hear about the 10 pounders......jk
  11. Those little sharks are good eating......jk
  12. What am I the only one who likes Mary???? She is beautiful......jk
  13. That is the best way to learn quick. And ask a lot of questions, push (gently) the mate aside and try to do his job. good luck.....jk
  14. That is a nice fish. Either hook up with someone on here and go out with them(fishing) or hire a guide for a day. Either way money well spent.....jk
  15. You summed it up pretty good. we work the other end of the lake and the fish are the same size, we get a 5 pounder for every 10 dinks. But we have been seeing more bait that the last two years. One good sign, the lakers are small. My main fishing buddy does not feel secure on bigger water.......jk
  16. Well now I am embarrassed. My neighbor's son came in and read my post. I now can easily post. This is from 4 years ago, 12 pound brown jigging. I had problems before and it didn't work then and I never tried again. speaking of working, rocks don't move themselves.....jk
  17. I do a lot of casting for pickerel when my friend is chasing pan fish there with worms and that must not be enough to notice them. and Jigging for lakers does not produce them either so it must be trolling a distance to pick them up. Thanks for the reply we all appreciate your posts here....jk I will be checking my water intake on the outboard motor.
  18. Fellow Pa ERabbit I can't seem to post photos here. But when you take your hook off put on an extra split ring on the original one than add the new hook. Now the hook will swing more freely and be a little futhur behind the original position.....jk
  19. Use an extra split ring or two for better hook ups.
  20. Hay I am retired but doing my own landscaping following the flood last fall, close to finishing = YIPPIE. There is no break in retirement......jk
  21. Beautiful fish real nice......jk
  22. Wait a minute that is a brookie. Don't tell me they are in Lake Ontario. I just looked at the background. I don't think there is much chance to jig in the big lake for those fish you all are holding. They are pretty......jk
  23. I do not think there are any in Keyuka, but I do not troll. I do cast a lot as I like to eat the pickerel. But I WILL check the intake of my outboard. Thanks for the warning.....jk You know what, I think last year I did have them on my line somewhere, I forget where.....jk
  24. They are probably to ashamed to consider attaching to my boat. Boy do I want to got to a lake with decent sized lakers. At Keyuka we get them but a 25 incher is rare and very thin, not a troller though. Ilike the jigging hit-zoom.....jk
