Left oswego harbor 5am and headed out to 125 to drop lines, took our first fish around 545 on a 87’ rigger pulling a ff putting a 21lb king in the box right off the bat. Kept pickin at mid teens kings with a few low teens till around 11 all between 140-300 out in front of the twin stacks. Our original plan was to work 100-150 all the way down past 9 mile west tords fairhaven but there were alot of boats that wouldnt give us a line to work south west so we worked deeper out in front of oz. from 11 to 1 found solid screen around 250 fow and managed a few upgrades to close out the day. 500 copper down the middle was on fire 400 copper took 1 or 2 nice ones, couldnt get the dipseys dialed in but took a few fish on em between 250-300 out. Finished with 98.5 pound box but had a great time. Team bad company will be back at it in a week or 2! Tons and tons of bait stacked out tords the nuke plant in 80-100 fow!
Im looking into adding another board to compliment my tx-44. Usually pull 10 colors 300 and 400 coppers with success but im wondering if theres a board that will pull even harder than the tx-44. Sometimes when theres a bit of current the board will wanna pull behind the boat and find a dipsey or a chute copper
Friday marked tons of bait 200-250 5 kings 1 slammer steely saturday got a late start started 80-100 most bait i ever marked east of twin stacks but only 2 steelys and a brown to show trolled to 250 and got a 20 lb king nothin since ant intel where kings went
Headed out of wrights landing about 8am sat morning and went straight out to 100 fow, continuing between 80-120 fow didnt move a rod and had almost no marks. Trolled our way into 40 fow little west of oz and found a patch of really stirred up water and rods started firing. Mix of kings and lakers and one fat 10lb brown. 3 color did lots of work and couple off the riggers went 5-8 on kings 4 lakers and 1 brown. All spoons exept broke off a nice king on a green bayrat came straight up outa the water and broke off behind the boat pretty cool never seen a king jump like that. Stingers and stingrays doin work, nothing on mag spoons. Sunday we headed east and marked tons of fish out torwards the plant but only picked up one king. Called it a early day. Browns seem to be no where to be found... would of liked to got into more.
I usually find out when i pull into wrights landing and see how hard shes smashing the break wall. 3 hour drive plus hotel room paid for usually means were still gonna send it.
Oz, that way you can head 9 mile west, out in front of fair haven would be short drive as well, or you can troll out in front of the nuke plant, more options.
