  1. Got a long weekend coming up looking to catch some kings. Just my wife and I. Where would you go I Ontario? Where is the hottest bite at this time. My wife has never caught a king on the lake, we usually are fishing for walleye on Erie. I love for her to feel the pull of a king. Not asking for a specific spot just a hot port and a general depth. 2. welcome aboard . if your looking for gear that wont break the bank? check out the classified section on this sight, you wont find it any cheaper anywhere. ive bought a lot of gear off here and am more that happy with my transactions.
  3. I have a 2452 hard top it has a full kitchen and an enclosed flush toilet. my wife and I love it. but we hardly ever have more than 4 people at a time when we are fishing. it fishes 4 people great even 5 is good but it doesn't have the deck space of a fisherman.
  4. they also have a 30$ 5 day license im told. the walleye fishing can be great there but you have to sift thru a lot of short fish. but that lake has the potential to grow huge fish. this time of year you will do better staying north of the bridge at wolf run for walleye. I believe there is a local group of walleye that stay up near red bridge but its not a large amount. the Indians have a walleye hatchers up on the reservation and stock several thousand fish each year. that's one of the reasons there license went up.

  9. invest in a couple of manual down riggers and run at least 2 #1 dipsys per side. that will give you 6 lines out. and a 16 footer fishes 2 people really well. just my 2 cents.
  10. if I were to ever buy another boat I would go with twin outboards for sure. JMO.

  15. I use to fish exclusively for bass and that fish is better than 6 lbs for sure. I would bet 7 to 8.5 lbs. it a hog for sure. Nice fish. Weigh him next time you catch him. Lol. I’d bet you have a scale for your next trip. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. Thanks for the input. My boat is a 2452 bayliner classic with a hard top. It’s 8 and 1/2 feet wide. I have tracks down both sides that I run my riggers and my rod holders for my dipsy divers on. My riggers have extendable booms to 54 inches. I have another set of riggers that have 48 inch booms but I’m not sure I need 3 or 4 riggers? Maybe I’ll try it and if I don’t like it I’ll pull them back off. It would be nice in high traffic areas but I usually avoid those areas anyway. Do you think 2 straight out the back and 2 at 90 degrees would be far enough apart? They would only be 52 inches from each other. If I run 3, I could run one off the corner at 45 degrees and my separation would be 8 feet. But it would be rite in my prop wash about 3 feet behind my prop??? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. I'm so sorry for your loss. Id bet you weren't completely alone out there today. You'll carry her with you on every trip you make for the rest of your life. she's in your heart brother. She was smiling on you today.
  18. is it worth having a 3rd down rigger? I would like to here the pro's and con's of having the 3rd rigger down the middle. Please.
  19. I would think the depth of your lure would be worth the extra coin. mine will have blue tooth for sure. for 100.00 ? for sure it will.
  20. Sounds to me like you have a solid plan now you just need to execute it. The biggest thing is to keep him engaged, try to make everything fun for him and don’t be too hard on yourself brother, it will all work out. [emoji4][emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. On the Pa. side Willow bay is a good place to start then sugar bay would be my next spot. There is usually a lot of daytime pressure on that lake, you would do better night fishing Kinzua. I usually do well in front of the beach just past the bridge trolling at night. There are some really big Browns in there to that no one targets, you can usually pick up a few of them trolling the east shoreline near any of the steep banks where the water gets deep fast, use some plainer to get up close to the shore. Ps. Always drag a very large plug in your prop wash. There are huge muskies in that lake. Good luck and tight lines. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Do you fish kinzua a lot? I use to fish there every weekend, lots of white fish in there if the walleye aren’t biting. There catching a lot of walleye on the reservation rite now. There averaging about 16 17 inches. There is always the chance of getting a real wall hanger in there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
