  2. There are lots of fish outside the fleet. And it’s a hell of a lot less stressful. I’ve never squeezed in and have always caught my share. To each his own. I go fishing to relax and have fun. Hard to have fun combat trolling. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Staging salmon don’t react to water temperature as readily when they are preparing to spon . They are off the feed and in sponing mode. Temperature means very little to them that time of year. When the river water cools enough and the flow is rite they will begin to run. It’s the end of there life cycle. They will congregate close to the river and stack up waiting for conditions to be rite. FISH THE MARKS. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. I use to fish the New York tributaries every year in the fall. 15 years ago I quit fishing there in the fall, because with all the AZZ holes you couldn't fish. we would go up and spend a week fishing and in a good week you would catch 3 maybe? these are really pressured fish. we still go up every spring the end of April and fish for steelhead and browns, for the most part we have the rivers to our selves that time a year. by (to our selves) I mean serious fishermen. most of the tight-liners and snaggers are not fishing this time of year. I also see very few locals fishing this time of year.

  20. How about a 10 lb weight with a wing that pulls down with the force of a 20 lb weight. If it’s made correctly it should eliminate blowback altogether at a certain speed. It would take a lot of testing to get it correct. It would be speed sensitive but should be doable. How’s your geometry and trigonometry?? If you could figure out about 15 feet of blow back for 150 feet down at 3.0 mph. Down speed you could sell one to everyone that trolls. Good luck. I’ll be your first customer.
