I know it is late, but I am going on Saturday and will report back.  Had an awful lot of luck on my birthday last year 9/22 at lower light.  Very large kwickfish right on the top (no downriggers nor dipseys) seemed to be the ticket.  Good luck!!

We got skunked at the mouth (~20-25 FOW) of the Genny.  Went and had a beer and wings on the deck at O'Laughlin's afterwards and saw a charter boat coming in with a zillion seagulls behind it.  Assumed they were cleaning fish.   Before you ask, yes I need to get a life but that's what fisherman notice!  Think that boat was out farther.  But very few boats (4-5) were working the mouth of the piers.  Too early?  It will be on soon.

A lot of Stagers were caught off the Oak and Sandy this weekend in 50-70' laying on the bottom.

Yes good screen and good bite early Saturday died about 9. Cold water inside off the Oak . The bouy shows 44 degrees on the bottom should still be good.
