New reels

I have been thinking about upgrading my reels, any suggestions as to reels for around 100.00 each. or any for sale. Thanks.

Diawa Sealine 47 lca's. Best reel for that price range IMO. I have had the Diawa Sealines for 16 years and they are very dependable.

Diawa 47's are bulletproof.

Like Yankee said new ones are coming and I've been looking for the new ones to hit the shelves but they aren't out yet, tacklewarehouse said they would be ready to ship in August but BPS and Cabelas, landbigfish don't even show them on the site yet. I'm going to call them and see what's up. Going to get a couple 27's for Erie night walleye.

For line counters, I agree with the majority here, can't go wrong with the Daiwa SG47LCA's.

For downrigger reels, take a look at the Shimano Triton TR200G, these are basically the star drag version of the Charter Specials. They cost around 65-70 bucks and the drags on them are absolutely outstanding.

Daiwa 47 SH is a great reel. I have 6 and never had an issue with any of them. Thousands of fish, with very little upkeep.

I've been running the Okuma Convectors the last 2 seasons. I've got no complaints, other than the "clicker" is to loud......

I preferred the Zebco 202, haven't lost a fight with a bluegill yet. Can't go wrong for the money. You know what I mean tightpockets?
