Cut-Meat Question- DEC Regulations??

Does anyone know the new DEC Regualtions to be able to answer this question.

1- Is it legal to use cut-meat that has been frozen- as long as it is heavily salted prior to use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Illegal to use unless it was packaged and stamped Treated for VHS. I do not know if anyone has the new stuff in stock yet

I picked some new cut-bait from Larry's Oswego Salmon Shop a few weeks back. I was told to put salt on prior to use, since it softer than versions in the past.

I have not used it yet, so I do not know how it works.

Some of the cut bait I've seen is not worth fishing. I'm doing just as good with the artificial strips Jon's Little Salmon & Port Ontario tackle I know have it!

What type of artificial strip? I just picked up some Berkley Gulp strips but haven't got to the water yet. Have you tried this, anyone, Bueler?

Sodus Point tackle sells the new cut bait. The strips fall apart in no time. The whole bait comes in large packs, so be prepared to seperate it into 2 or 3 packs for daily use.

To me, it's just not worth using anymore.

what about whole herring bait, i prefer to run a rig with the whole bait, over the cut bait.
