Doing good at Olcott or Niagara bar?

We're thinking about first trip with the boat later this week. We may launch at Olcott and troll to Niagara bar. We're coming from PA. How is the bite in this stretch? We've never fished this early...think it's too early?

We did really well between Wilson and Olcott on Sunday for browns.  Ended up 20-25 w/ biggest fist 11lbs and a couple nice 8lbers.  We stayed in close 8-12 feet of water with rapalas.  I imagine it will be good in close for a couple more weeks.

We have big boards, think that'll work or should we invest in some smaller church boards?

I ran big boards and the worked really well.  We ran a couple spoons off the riggers and no luck.

We launched from Wilson,  There was a bunch of sticks and logs so be very careful motoring out.

I did - it was good to be back on the water!

The ramps at Olcott are good to go for launching also.
