  1. Past hour
  2. cool, thanks. I also have two copper I'm using on boards
  3. Good 8 days of fishing! The brown trout were a little tough. Some days good some could've been better. The water was pretty clear most of the time. Our best picks were up around 9 mile point. Chris in our group caught the best 2 of 7 1/2 and 8 lbs. Even mix of spoons and stick baits. Black and silver, green and silver and spoons with dots in those colors. The end of the week really slowed down to just a few cookie cutters here and there. I did move out a little on day and got a nice 6 1/2 pound Steelhead and a little further out the wife got an all but 12 pound laker. The last day Saturday we cruised the shoreline for a couple hours picked up another cookie cutter and decided to head out for deep water. It was a bit rough at first but it was worth it. From about 100 to 160 fow the kings were there and hungry. Went 4 for 7 hitting them down between 50 to 70 ft. Nothing big, the biggest one was a little over 10 pounds. Bunch of other boats in the area seemed to be catching too. Sure was fun to end the trip fighting some kings. All in all it was a great trip! Back up in a couple weeks.
  4. Got up to the big lake for some Gold action. Water temp on the shore was a bit warm due to the mild winter and I was hoping we could find some pods of eyes and browns. As any trip, things start out in search mode until the electronics show what hope to be promising marks. We were met with a nice brown before dark and then hit a pod of eyes that put 3 in the box quick. Other 3 took a bit longer but was able to have time to catch up with a great friend. Shared a lot of laughs and ended the night in double digits with some nice eater browns. Next night my son and his buddy came up. Typical Friday boat pressure on shore, decided to leave and find some fishing elsewhere. Motored to a spot that produced in the past and it didn't disappoint. Rods started to fire and we had another exciting night on eyes with one quality brown. Speeds varied to get reaction strikes and colors didn't matter, everything got hit. Got to troll to find them and we you do, don't leave them. Our bite turned off and on and made the night interesting. Love this time of year. Tight lines.
  5. I had trim master. Forget about it. Bennett makes a wiring harness/fitting kit that will convert your system to a modern pump apparatus. The pump and solenoid housing is not cheap, but very common and modern. I called them. They knew exactly what I had and needed.
  6. Location appreciated Interested
  7. A pic would tell 1000 words. Losing bottom at higher speeds is not uncommon, especially if your transducer is on the transom. Sometimes an easy fix, sometimes not.
  8. Rigger down the chute if you can. Dipsys set on the sides at different rates of dive. Deepest dipsy closest to the boat.
  9. What’s your location going to be when selling the scotties? 1116’s or 2116’s?
  10. Correction - cranks starts and runs. Seem to have narrowed it down to electrical. Key and starter can’t communicate. Wiring was a disaster, lots of residential caps, all sorts of splices.
  11. Today
  12. Always awesome to get out fishing with your dad. Anytime is a good time to make memories.
  13. I’m interested if they are still for sale
  14. Sounds about right. I was guessing close to 20#. He was all of 36” and round.
  15. Did you get a length? Tough to tell by the pic. Looks 18-20lbs to me.
  16. Out again this morning, rainy but calm. Decent temp was 250 -350. One of those days where we dropped more than we landed but still a great day. Lakerunner who was fishing similar water crushed it including 3 Atlantics. Can’t remember fishing water this deep so early in the year but not complaining.
  17. Tough to say from a pic. My guess is 16lbs ish?
  18. Not fun. You say it cranks but won’t start. That year should have a point and condenser ignition system. I would start there. Check cap and rotor. Clean and gap points Replace spark plugs Also fuel and filters
  19. Can’t stop thinking about this one…. Fished Sandy Creek yesterday and picked this laker over 140 ft. We didn’t have a scale and we’re not in the derby so we sent her back down. Almost don’t want to ask but any guesses on weight?
  20. Thanks for that @chinook35 problem is they have jumped so many wires together it makes tracing anything original almost impossible
  21. Explanation of the boat and marine wire and cable color codes with applications RED: Positive Mains “+” i.e. Positive Conductor in the DC supply “L+” BLACK or YELLOW: Negative Mains “-” i.e. Negative Conductor in the DC supply “L-“ YELLOW with Red Stripe: It is used for starting switch to solenoid or/ used for generator to the regulator field terminal. BROWN: It is used for three different boat accessories i.e. 1) wire generator armature to the regulator, 2) fuse or switch to pumps or lights, 3) generator terminal to the alternator or light to regulator. BROWN with Yellow Stripe: It is used to wire the switch or fuse to the blower. DARK BLUE: It is used to connect the fuses and Switches to the light. LIGHT BLUE: It is used to wire oil pressure lenders to the gauge. TAN: It is used to wire the water temperature to the sender gauge. ORANGE: Its is used for there types of boat wiring i.e it is used to 1) wire distribution panels to accessory switches, 2) Ammeter to alternator and generator output, 3) boat accessory fuses or switches. PURPLE: It is used for two purposes i.e. 1) wire an ignition switch to the coil and electrical instruments, 2) wire the distribution panel to electrical instruments in a marine. PINK: It is used to wire the boat fuel gauge senders to the gauge. GRAY: It is also used to connect three marine accessories i.e. 1) tachometer sender to gauge, 2) Fuses of switches to lights, 3) or used as a bonding wire (if insulated). GREEN or GREEN with Yellow Stripe:These are bonding wires i.e. these colors coded cables are used for bonding in a boat (if insulated).
