  1. Tuna Tom re-built 7 of my old Diawa line counters 2 years ago... also upgraded all the drags. Great service, great prices. http://www.tunasreeltroubles.com/

  3. I work as a mold maker in a shop in Rochester. We have used the Dri deck squares as floor mats for at least 10 years... coolant, oil, metal chips, grinding grit, and constant abuse.... this stuff wears like iron.... I think the mats will outlast your boat !!.... easy to take apart to re configure or clean.

  6. Good post Capt. Vince. I was thinking the same this spring. My brother in law is a marine mechanic, so he got my 1996 Merc outboard in March. Everything made of rubber on the power head - fuel lines, return lines, fuel pump, etc. was replaced with new products that can withstand ethanol. The fuel pump looked to be breaking down, as did some of the fuel lines. .... better safe then sorry..

  20. Gentlemen, I’m having trouble connecting NMEA wiring between 3 devices and getting them to work together. I’ve received help from the wiring wizards on this forum before, so I’m sure some one can set me straight this time…. Thanks in advance. Sending GPS data from: Humminbird 785c Chart Plotter. Red to batt. + Black to batt - Data wires: black, white, red Sending data from the Humminbird GPS to: Furuno FCV 625 echo sounder Red to batt. + Black to batt - Data wires: yellow, green, black, white, blue, orange, brown. Sending data from the Humminbird GPS to: Raymarine Sportpilot Plus autopilot. Brown to batt + Blue to batt. – Data wires: red, black, yellow, and “screen? ( I think they mean the shield around the wires ? ) My biggest confusion is how to connect the ground wires. I am not sure about connecting any of the data ground wires together, or to the negative side of the battery. I believe I understand the “data out / transmit “ and “data in / receive “ part of the equation. I’m hoping some one would take the time to give me wire by wire connection help and a better understanding of the necessary ground connections. Thank You very much Jim S.

  24. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Jim S. "J.D." ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):5-14 Time on Water: 2 hrs Weather/Temp: foggy Wind Speed/Direction: calm to light ENE Waves: 0-1 ft. Surface Temp: 48-50 Location: Rochester LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 0 Total Boated:0 Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: 2-2.5 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 5-35ft. Lure Depth: 2-32ft. ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Like the other reports for today, cold water and no fish for me inside. Went to work in the AM because of the heavy fog at the river, launched at noon, couldn't see the Coast Guard station from the boat launch. Putted around the pier to the West and set one top line with an in line board and one shallow rigger. Cycled between riggers, lead core, and surface lures, not much you can do running solo ( 2 rods out ) I didn't run off shore because of the fog and the impending weather change coming, and running solo in a 17 footer. Around 2:00, I could actually feel the pressure change in my sinus cavity, so I pulled rods and headed for the river, knowing a 17 foot aluminum boat with the canvas up can turn into a sail boat quickly...... I just made the river in time.... Here's the weather data from the Summerville Pier weather station 2:10 PM..... wind @ 6 kts. gusts @ 8.9 kts. 2:20.......... wind @ 20 kts. gusts @ 25.1 kts. 2:30.......... wind @ 19 kts. gusts @ 31.1 kts.
