I'm having a discussion with a guy at work and I'm sure someone on this site knows the law and can set us straight.
Is it legal to discharge a firearm offshore ( 5 or more miles) from a boat on Lake Ontario? I say no, he seems to think it's ok.
Thanks, Jim S.
Jim Ras, or Mayers marina, North East corner of Irondequoit Bay. Both guys are great with older motors
If you cant find anything, they make after market units that will work with your motor. A bud of mine put one on his boat for the same reason you stated and it worked perfectly.

Time to think out of the box...... Tell her to keep her dining room, finish the addition the way YOU want it, and make that room your "hunting lodge".... fire place, bear skin rugs, game mounts, leather furniture, etc......
My home port is Braddocks Bay, and is VERY shallow most of the year. I switched over to a composite prop 2 years ago and am very happy with the performance. I runs just like aluminum, but the blades will deflect before they break removing most of the stress taken when you hit something with your prop. The price is right too. I bought it as a spare, but after running it a few trips, decided to run it full time...

Ray, I remember you posting last season about using a heaver super line, like 65 or 80 pound test with your divers. I was wondering what formula you were using to set your depth?? does it run closer to the wire settings or mono??
Thanks,
Jim S.

The shallow water West from the river to Braddocks Bay is still thick with mud from the wave action earlier in the week. 2 foot visibility at best. Temps were in the low 40's.
Ended up working out deeper- 25-35 FOW where the color was a bit better, pulled one small steelhead on a 000 dodger / peanut fly 5' down. We saw one other boat pull up and head West past Braddocks only to fly by us headed East towards Webster an hour later.
Great to be back on the water....
