  1. several years ago I stayed at 4C marina. Dockage and a cottage rental. Was very affordable back then.
  2. I had some from A-TOM-MIC and also others that were purchased at Fat Nancys and Screwie Louis. All seamed to be from the same manufacture.
  3. I have always given him a hundred dollars. But I have always been very happy with their work and they have always worked hard. I guess that wold be about twenty percent as I was paying about five hundred for the trip back then.
  4. I had a cannon repair center change my cords. Like you one was loose and would work out after a couple trips. The collar was also not water tight. Gorilla glue is exactly what I used. Mainly because it is what I had on hand. Four years now without issues of water intrusion or falling out.
  5. I also am thinking a loose connection some where first. Check negative to block and positive to starter. If problem persists I believe Auto Zone will bench test both for no charge.
  6. Just an FYI. I run up to 400 foot coppers with Fireline backing. I put the Fireline right into my Walleye board clips and it holds just fine. I would think it would hold fine in some other clips that are more on the rubbery side than the smoother plastic types. I do not run cores yet.
  7. F/F and spoons all year long. Late summer I start adding the meat rigs.
  8. Thanks again. Good winter viewing to get the blood running.
  9. thank you. I will look them up.
  10. I have a 24' Thompson fisherman. The back to back lounge seats are tired. Thinking about replacing them. Any ideas on the best price around for this style boat seat. I am only looking for the seat, do not need the bases. thanks for all your help.
  11. Dennis, As stated above, any time you can get on the big lake is a good time. I am almost on Cape Cod and enjoy every minute I can get out that way. That being said. If you want to take a trip in June, I would look strongly at Oswego or Fair Haven. Your travel time would be the same and the deeper water is a lot closer to the shore. Good luck in your decision and safe travels. Maybe I will see you on the pike one of these days. Richard
  12. Same size. I just cut it to four feet. Installed it into the rigger and then put the pulley end in and secured. I needed a little more Clarence between the four riggers I have on the back of my boat.
  13. Go to Home Depot. Pick up the black coated galvanized fence top. Cut it to the length you want. It comes in an eight foot length I believe. I got two four footers for like twenty dollars .
  14. Contact cannon. They were having an issue with some cables not being uv protected. They replaced mine for free, just needed to ship them to them or go to an authorized repair center.
  15. Very nice. Love seeing those dipsy hits. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I am with the last three post. With your limited time fishing only in the spring I would forgo the meat at this point. Spend the money on other things. I am sure you can find another location for the money. HaHa. Save the meat decision for when you are fishing the lake in the summer and fall, which will happen in your future.
  17. I like a white with pearl tape as mentioned above. Followed by a baby blue fly.
  18. Nice fish. Thanks for the video.
  19. I have been doing like you. I would like to know if there is another way as well. Thanks for posting.
  20. Stripping the cup will not work on the new style. They are made on a brass blank, it is not silver under the paint. I have a couple that the paint has chipped off.
  21. http://www.onthewater.com/lake-ontario-vertical-jigging-recap-otw-tv/
  22. The On The Water fishing program aired here in Massachusetts had a program jigging for brown trout in Mexico bay. If I recall correctly they were in 80 foot of water with 1 or 2oz. jigs. They were on a charter boatthat went outof sandy pond. I think if you look on their website you can see some of that episode.
