  1. Would you be willing to ship the Mag 10? If so, can you find out how much to ship to Massachusetts 02346? Thank you
  2. Like above, Take the pill and enjoy your trip. Also do not drink heavily the night before. In that vessel you will be fine, a bit bumpy in the morning but great later on. Go and enjoy yourself. A world class fishery at our doorsteps. Good luck and tight lines.
  3. I have the same boat but an older version. I do not have a fuse box. All inline or resetable fuses. I have in line fuses on each of my four downriggers and also on my fish finder. These boats were built pretty much bare bones. I mo longer use this boat for lake O and have since purchased a 240 Thompson. Replaced its box from the glass fuses to a more modern box with plastic fork type fuses. Picked it up at west marine. A much better set up. Good luck and be safe. P.S. Love the boat. Just not too good in a chop over three feet. Made a bow deflector for the occasional wave you may get over the bow so I could get back to port safely if the seas should build. Pick your days and you will be fine. That being said I have been out in five footers and never felt unsafe with proper boat operation. May take you longer to get back but I got back. Mine is paired with a 115 Merc. four stroke. A good match in my eyes.
  4. I hear you on how fast it is approaching. Working on tree stand repairs now. Need the paint to gat sent free and new cables for my safety. Then need to get them back in the woods.Season starts in five weeks. My bow needs an adjustment after a new string last month and then needs to be resighted in. Also need to work and gat the boat ready for winter. Good luck this season.
  5. Thank you Werner and finders keepers for another great year.
  6. 43 degree water down 75 feet over 120 feet of water. Six to seven foot waves today. Trolled from sunrise till nine whenvwe said that this was crazy and headed back in. Took three hours to get back into the shoot. Have one trenty pound or so king and maybe two broken toes for our efforts. A very rough day

  8. I have the 13# a-tom-mic weights which are torpedos. Love them. I would use these or the ones stated above. I think 15# might be a little much for the manuals but you could check with cannon to see what the max weight for them is.
  9. I run my coppers on walleye boards. A 300 and a 400, one on each side. The only way I can see getting into your dipsy's with a copper is if you let it out too fast on the turn. Only let the coppers out when going strait, and make sure your other presentations are strait behind when you let it out. Good luck.
  10. Cut off the ten feet of twisted wire. I do this every year or two. I only am able to fish the big lake twelve days a year so sometimes I can get two years before trimming. when spooling new I also let it all out as stated above on the first trip, i just put a lead ball on for the extra tension and reel it all back on the spool. This is done so the wire will not roll over onto itself and cause issues when reeling a fish in. doing something like this or as noted above is a must on your first trip otherwise do not be upset with anyone but yourself if you loose that fish of a lifetime of a $10,000 fish in the case of the LOC.
  11. I have the SF400A which is 8'-6" long. Most are more than five years old and a few are as old as 15 years. I have only had one break while trying to pop it out of the release, and this was one of the older ones.. I use 20 pound mono on them which is at its high end of the rating. I love the rods. I use them as my spoon rods. due to the yellow color I know at a glance weather it is a spoon rod or a F/F rod. I run 30 pound mono for the F/F rods.
  12. I tie direct and tape it to stop the creep. one of my reels has a pin the other does not. I do this because I do not like the extra knot thought a fish should never get down that far, but you never know.
  13. You could also have an issue with too high of a positive or a negative current going down tour cables. There has been some great studies concerning electrical current atracting or spooking fish from your spread. The black box and cannon downriggers regulate these currents. You can see the current your boat is putting out with a electrical meter. Try longer leads. The further away from the cable the less this current will efect your spread. As stated above, there is a lot involved in making your spread work. This is only one piece. All boats fish differently. I have trolled right beside a friends boat with different results. What worked on his boat did not work on mine and vice versa. Good luck. Welcome to the sometimes stressful salmon fishing on the big lake.
  14. I agree with above. I wouldcut back the wires and installa new connector.
  15. If you did not read twelve volts at the plug, you have a break in the line somewhere. Check for twelve volts at the fuse. Also get a spare piece of wire to reach from battery to plug at dash. Connect this line to the negative terminal. Check for twelve volts between this wire and the positive side of the plug. This will let you know if the issue is on the ground wire or the positive wire. Mice are known to chew the rubber off the were in the winter
  16. Make sure your positive and negative wires are on the correct terminals, also look for an inline fuse. The fuse could be blown or the connection corroded. Good luck.
