  1. Polamar for me too. Easy to tie with old fingers & eyes. I use a dulock snap when running stick baits , so no worries putting it through the loop.
  2. Get them dipped , with that new process where they disolve the pattern on the liquid.. Seen deer skulls done that way.
  3. This was a couple hundred yards from my house on Elm st. The DEC got this bear out of Herkimer acouple of weeks ago. It must be hard to know how much stuff to knock out the bear with. . This bear liked the easy pickings in the cities. You can't have a "wild" bear running around in a neighbor hood with grade school kids waiting for the schoolbus. Its to bad the bear died, I feel he would go back to the easy picking in another town if he was released.. The fall didn't look that bad , they caught him in a net so he didn't hit the ground.
  4. Regular rivets you will have to get to the back side to tighten them up . A dolly or anvil on one side and an air hammer and settint toll on the outside. They make a "pop-rivet" that has a solid back , buy it requires a heavy duty tool. Do a search on the web for rivets , they arn't to expensive for a bag of 100.

  8. I don't use backing, however when I tie the wire on to the spool I run a strip of the Straping tape. ( the one with the nylon filiments ) length wise of the spool. Over the wire The wire would have to cut all those strips to slip on the spool.
