  1. Guys, Head over to my Facebook page and check out the raffles I am doing. My nephew has been diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer and bone cancer. We are raising money to help him with his hospital bills and other expenses. Right now we have a raffle going for a 6 hour Charter with Captain Rob Wescott of Legacy sportfishing. Next up is a Custom rod built by Keith Nehrke (GatorNY here on LOU).
  2. You should have jigged walleye on that screen! Nice job Isaac!
  3. Sold pending payment
  4. I have a set of Millenium Fixed 4 rod trees that were bought this April. They are in like new condition. They are $129.99 each new. I am selling the pair for $175.00. Local pick up or I can meet you in the Greece Hilton area.
  5. I fished Friday afternoon with my son and his two buddies. I had Friday, Saturday and Sunday to put my last 4 fish on the board for the All Counties Salmon Slam. WE ran out to 100' and started trolling NW. Currents were horrendous but we found a decent screen in 140' in the top 50'. I ran a slimmed down spread of two coppers, two divers and two riggers. We went 10 for 12 in 2.5 hours boating Kings, steelhead and a coho. The highlight of the night was my sons PB king at 26.06lbs. Hawks Tackle Electric Funeral Meat rig was the best producer with Rigged Cutbait. Hawks Tackle Snowflake was the best spoon of the trip. Saturday, we fished the same water and caught all kings. Same water early and then slid out to 180 late morning. Our biggest of the day was a 21.60 for the Salmon Slam. Same meat rig and a carbon 14 mag were the top producers. Rigged Meat took all of our matures. Sunday, the fish were more scattered. We worked from 160 -225 until mid morning. We went in shallower to see if there were fish inside of 140. on the troll in, we came across a boat that looked like they were jigging. When we got closer, I realized they were trolling super slow. We turned East to give them room and the 300 copper towing an Atommik UV Grinch took off screaming. After a long battle, we boated a 23.16lb king. That fish was our 4th mature of the day. Bites Sunday came deeper and colder than the previous days. Carbon 14, Snow Flake and Black Jeans spoons, Electric Funeral and UV Grinch meat heads were our top producers. We eneded up weighing the 23.16 and a 19.30 since Sunday was the last day I will be able to make it out for the Salmon Slam. I hope the 19.30 doesn't screw us in the end! We ended up with a 23.96, 26.06, 21.60, 23.16 and a 19.30 for our 5 fish box.
  6. My buddy tried one. It was not good. The leftovers also turned to mush overnight!
  7. It is the latitude line. Instead of using depth, guys will use latitude lines.
  8. Great king! Congrats!
  9. Saturday the guys off Sandy did well offshore. With those reports, we headed through the sloppy conditions and set down in 350' on a NW troll. We struggled to find any kind of screen or consistency. We ended up with four small kings to show for 4 hours of trolling around out there, We decided to head into the shallows to put Keith's son Mason on some fish before heading in. It didn't take long once we set up in 15-30. A great late morning brown bite ended up turning the day into one Mason will never forget! Our Fourth fish hit a board rod with a 1oz weight and a Stinger Stingray Black UV tuxedo and immediately started peeling line. After a long battle, we boated Mason's personal best brown at 16lbs. At 11:30, the wind switched WNW and started pushing warm water in. 62 degrees was down 7' when we started and it was down 21' when we pulled and headed for the dock. We ended up doing a bunch of browns and a very nice class of them at that, 2 of the fish we boated would have made the Summer LOC board if it was still running!

  10. The length of the rod is plenty.
  11. Over the years I have caught a bunch of Atlantics of all sizes. About 50% were duds. The giant I caught back in 1997 fought amazing. It seems like the males fight better than females. The top photo fish fought great. The bottom photo, the brown in photo fought way better!
  12. I heard but can't confirm it's a new strain of Atlantics. Beautiful fish but not the fighters they are advertised to be. I have caught a couple bigger males that put on an areal show but the majority were lame. Give me a king, coho or steelhead any day over Atlantics.
  13. I will take all the Scotty releases (both sizes). PM sent
  14. 90'-110' was stellar on Friday. Gone on Saturday. We caught an 8 pound Atlantic Friday and it was the worst fight I have ever seen from a Lake Ontario salmonoid.... Not saying a lot when I laker fish! The fish hit a diver pulling a Hawks Tackle Electric Funeral Meat rig. Two head shakes before I got to the rod and then nothing until it hit the floor of the boat. Then it went ballistic.
  15. Not an Atommik. Atommik flies are tied on roller beads not tubes.
  16. Alien UV Gambler Rig behind a Froggy Hammerhead 5/0 Cowbell.
  17. Friday Mike and I left the creek at 5:30 and set down in 90’ right out front. We turned West and found a great screen and a great bite right off the bat. We left that water looking to look for a plan B for the Shootout if plan A failed. We trolled out to 300+ and found fish and bait all over. The water wasn’t much different in 90 than it was in 300. Temp was down 50’ when we started and the last hour of fishing, warm water started rolling in. We went to BFF weigh in with a 17lb king as our biggest. We had our opportunities for bigger fish but never landed them. Saturday We left the creek in the fog and slowly made our way to the water that was best yesterday. When we go there, the screen was dead. We immediately turned out to see if the fish were pushed out deeper from the warm water that rolled in. We found a few fish in the 140-180 zone but nothing big. We did end up throw a very sick steelhead back instead of in our box (the fish had brown sores all over both sides). We trolled out to 225 and started marking some fish and bait. We settled in there for the mid morning and boxed a good steelhead, a medium sized steelhead, two good kings and a smaller king. Late in the day, we ran into the laker water and quickly picked a good laker to upgrade our small king. At weigh in, we ended up in 7th place and won the big laker prize. Congrats to Rob, Billy, Paul, Matt and Hunter on an impressive win! Congrats to all the other winners!
  18. Cable angle is another thing to watch. If you catch a fish, look at the rigger cable and duplicate the speed that gets you the same cable angle.
  19. Don't forget the best captains bags in the tournament trail!
  20. Wednesday I took a customer / friend from NH and his two buddies out for some brown trout and lake trout action. We set up in 45' of water and stayed there for the morning. We had good numbers of browns and great size. Lots of lost fish and fish falling off in the net with the exception of the rods that we were running Strike assists on. The more I run them, the more of a believer I am in them. Stinger Stingrays in Black UV Tuxedo was the best spoon by far for the morning. Divers, leacores and riggers all took fish. Saturday we wanted to find some kings. It didn't take long and the first diver that was still creeping out got smashed by a nice steelhead. We settled in 130-145 and did some kings. Late morning the guys wanted to get into some of the brown trout action. We pointed in and settled in 65' of water. The brown bite was very slow compared to Wednesday but we did pick up some good kings in there. Hawks Tackle Black Jeans and Double Jeans mags were the best two spoons, Atommik UV Grinch Meat rigs with Rigged Cutbait also produced some great kings for us. for the day.
  21. Looks like a Green Crinkle Howie. Atommik does make a green crinkle.
  22. WE trolled by you guys. 85' - 90' had a bunch of kings laying on the bottom. We plucked a couple in that zone early.
