  1. Hopefully it was a cormorant!
  2. I would love to see a limit change on Conesus for pike. As for the tigers, they are sterile so let guys keep them.
  3. This years should be interesting.
  4. I'm a meat hunter that does not hunt much (couple days per season). I hate antler restrictions. I pay the money for my tag, I should be able to fill it with what I want to take home for the freezer.
  5. Just be careful walking back to it on the ice. There can be some really sketchy ice due to the marsh and creek.
  6. I can tell you have not been icefishing in a couple days Tom.
  7. I put you on the distribution list! Thanks!
  8. It has been VERY slow for pike. I did not see any on camera last time down. Very unusual. There have been a decent amount of tigers caught.
  9. Check the charts for flow rates and turbidity that are on the USGS site over looking at the river in Mt Morris. There are a lot of creeks that can mud her up between Rochester and Mt Morris.
  10. Early in the season, lakers are spread out over more depths than in summer. Shoals and structure will hold more fish in the spring. Slower speeds under 2.0 produce more and bigger fish when fishing cowbells and spin n glows or peanuts. I run Hammerhead cowbells in 5/0. Give Jim a call and he will hook you up with the right stuff.
  11. Are these cash totals or product totals?
  12. Daiwa Saltist. 6.1 to 1 gear ratio and the smoothest drag on the market.
  13. $89,000? You could not even buy a brand new 30' boat for that money!
  14. You are expected to drag around a 150qt cooler with water in it to keep them alive.
  15. I find running my one copper a side is perfect along side four divers (2 per side). I find two coppers on one board hinders your ability to turn. By the time to turn around to go back through a weighpoint, the day is over.
  16. Thats got to be an awesome feeling! Nice job Matt.
  17. I was out there until 11. Great ice 4-5" all clear hard ice.
  18. My only beef is clipping adds stress to the fish. Talking to the guy from the dec that delivered the fish to the pens last spring he told me the fish were stressed and did not eat for days after being clipped.
  19. Steelhead normally have a diverse diet (bug, emeralds, shad, alewives, ect). TONS of alewives were high in the water column all summer this year. Did the steelhead eat more alewives than normal because they were readily available?
  20. Fixed it Tom. Stupid auto correct!
  21. We get one alive every once and a while in the intake at work. Cool creature for sure
  22. Braddocks and Long pond might be a little muddy after the warm up. The creek flowing into both were very high and brown for a couple if days.
  23. I run clippers for flatlines and Scotty power grips for coppers and cores. I run the small ones for cores and coppers under 300' with spoons and the big ones for long coppers or coppers with flasher/flies
  24. If you can't afford doing a couple charters, look into finding someone that will take you out. Lots of guys are looking for someone to pitch in for gas.
  25. They are just the tools of the trade. You have to be ready for what ever conditions Lake Ontario throws at you!
