  1. I just popped a bag of popcorn for this one! He must be planning his revenge Matt! Way to quiet for Rick.
  2. A lot of steelhead came into the creeks late. A warm May with no rain more than likely booted them out early due to high water temps. The sandy creek pen rearing project was cancelled this year because the water was too warm days before the fish were delivered.
  3. I did not screw into the fiberglass. I screwed a board into the wood frame on my hatch and the entrance way to the cuddy. The rod holders are screwed into the board
  4. I will show you my set up next time is see you Matt.
  5. Nice job Matt! Tommy is going to boot us out of the marina because the laker poop odor coming from our boats. Mine smells horrible after the last two trips!
  6. Cowbells are my go to attractor for lakers on Lake Ontario. Paired with the proper spin n glow, they can be deadly.
  7. Cannon Mag 10 STX comes with 250'. I would think that is what the counter is calibrated for. Adding any diameter to the spool will change the accuracy of the counter. I had 400' put on 2 of my older riggers and they would hit bottom a lot sooner than the rigger with 250'.
  8. The other thing you can do with the fishhawk is use it on ANY rigger on the boat. I usually run mine on the port rigger until we laker fish. It is then moved to the middle rigger to keep the probe away from the bottom.
  9. Adding extra cable to the rigger will throw the counter on the rigger off. I had this conversation with a Cannon Tech when I had my old mag 10s upgraded to mag 20's years ago and wanted to put 400' of cable on the rigger.
  10. Fish Hawk all the way. You dont have to replace perfectly good rigger cable to get it to work. The coated cable is just another thing to spend money on to replace. Analog is a thing of the past.
  11. Uni to Uni. Easy to tie and very strong.
  12. I purchased one this spring as my backup unit. It seems good.
  13. Go ahead and bring in a Sturgeon Rick. I'm pretty sure the Fish and Wildlife guys would love to talk to you!
  14. It would help grow if the same guys did not win it 2 years in a row . Hopefully I will bring my boat down next year and join in on the fun.
  15. There is not a wpt button but all you have to do is hit enter twice. The first time, it asks if you want to store a weigh point and the second time you are saying yes. Pretty simple.
  16. I don't miss those days. Slipping is the best option for sure.
  17. Whats wrong with the launch at Sandy?
  18. I use the swivels because the Albright failed twice on me. I would stick to the bigger Spros if you fish Lake Ontario. If you fish the fingerlakes, you can get away with the smaller ones.
  19. +1
  20. I have some on the boat Matt. If you do not find any, let me know.
  21. Run it iff of Big boards. Much easier.
