  1. In good condition. Does have a weak drag clicker. $90.00 shipped free anywhere in the lower 48 or $80.00 picked up locally in Hilton/Greece. Reel is only three seasons old.
  2. Seagar here also.
  3. I do not think stream fishing should be closed but some sections of tribs should be off limits. If there is natural reproduction of trout or salmon shouldn't it be protected to a certain point? If there is no natural reproduction, let it be open. The DEC spends Millions a year on stocking the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario and the tribs are a free for all during the spawn. With the new evidence of good natural reproduction in the Salmon River, shouldn't the most fertile areas (ie Beaver Dam Brook) be off limits? Just something to think about.
  4. Pretty interesting that we protect pike, walleye, muskies and bass during the spawn but not trout and salmon. Most lakes with walleye like Conesus for example have no natural reproduction yet the season for walleye is still closed.
  5. I'm on board with the No bananas thing.
  6. I just have a sh*t ton of them in my boat and change out the fly and retie them in the off season.
  7. There are always browns and lake trout to fish for. April 12th will be really early this spring for salmon. Lake Erie still has a ton of ice. Guys are fishing on 24" of ice off of Sturgeon Point. Erie will still have ice for sure.
  8. I use the Special Mate boxes. They are great but don't leave them open on the seat on a rough day !
  9. Do you live in a cave Tom? There has been hundreds of geese flying around Monroe County all winter.
  10. What do you need fixed Matt? It is really easy and a lot cheaper to do it yourself.
  11. Hopefully those swans are local mute swans that are over populated and not tundra swans.
  12. I have been a cannon owner for years. The current riggers on my boat have ten seasons on them. Mine get a ton of abuse lake trout fishing lake o and they keep on running flawlessly.
  13. Spring really needs to get here!
  14. Sandy Creek in Hamlin. Free launch and great fishing with way less boat traffic than most ports.
  15. It is a barrier placed across the mouth of the Niagara River that prevents large ice flows from entering the river.
  16. I have run the Daiwa Heartlands for years. They are good rods for the money. I found the best deals through Hallet Bait and Tackle www.shop.fishhbt.com. Good luck.
  17. Fish of a life time. Good luck on catching another one.
  18. The record might go down this year. Lets hope we get some warmth so it comes out early to kick off the spring salmon season.
  19. Thank God. Bring on the thaw.

    Sodus bay

I was there yesterday and it was 20" easy. NO snow on the ice either.
  21. I made labels with a label maker and put them on the top of the reel.
  22. Buy the best you can afford. The Saltists and Catalinas are top end reels but are worth the extra money. The high gear ratios and better drag systems make life easier. I have runthe Saltist for 3 years now and love them. No issues yet.
  23. If vanish was used for trout and salmon on Lake Ontario, tackle shops would be the twice as busy as they are now. It has poor knot strength, and it had very little abrasion resistance compared to other brands.
