  1. Opening day was interesting for me. Saw a ton of deer including the biggest buck I have ever seen on the good in the woods. At around noon, 2 hikers with an unleashed dog came walking through and the dog spooked deer out of the brush. The monster ran by with 6 doe at full speed. I just watched in awe. I ended up dumping a button buck with the muzzleloader at 100 yds around 420 pm opening afternoon. Not my first choice but it's meat in the freezer and now I can get back to perch fishing.
  2. As a dog owner 1. What is your dog doing on someone else's property. 2. What is your dog doing in the woods during deer season? Would I shoot someone's dog? No. But I would not feel sorry for someone if it did happen to their dog. There are leash laws for a reason. People that own animals need to take care of their animals. It is not ok to let your animal roam free and do what it wants.
  3. The doe that frequent my back yard have mostly doe yearlings this year. All but one doe has twins. Last year the group behind my house had more button bucks than doe.
  4. If the people read the signs, they would see it cleary says do not back your trailers past the end of the docks. Even when the docks are out, the poles are still there marking the end of the ramp. No excuse for damaging your trailer.
  5. I believe single hooks are the law up there.
  6. I posted a pic of a 35lb grass carp from a local pond a couple of years ago Tom. They will get big in the right body of water. There are 3 or 4 that big in the pond I caught it out of.
  7. Congrats rob. Was this near my house or another spot you hunt?
  8. Only problem I see is the fly will get flattened and not get its shape back.
  9. The Blue Green algea blooms have really changed that lake (mostly during ice season). The weed lines do not extend out to 15' of water anymore except for a small area on the South end West side. Most of the fish roam the open water and can be very tough to stay on. We started seeing the change about 6 years ago. We used to have good days for walleye, gills, bass, perch and some crappie just about every trip. Now you have to fish every day to stay on top of the schools in the open lake.
  10. Nice job Matt!
  11. With the receiving core romo has had the past couple years, the cowboys offense should be unstoppable. Just goes to prove he is a mediocre at best quarterback.
  12. Try being a mets and redskins fan. Most years are like this year!
  13. Nice job Scott! Looks like rob is rubbing off on you. Smile would ya!
  14. Nice buck Andy!
  15. Awesome! That is what it is all about!
  16. This site would not go anywhere. The reports section is the most abused section of this site. Tons of people read it and do not give one ounce of reports or useful info in return. The lurkers would still have access to the rest of the site.
  17. The reports section should be for pro only too. This would keep lurkers from sucking info from the site without giving anything back.
  18. PM me a cell # and I can text you the pic.

  20. Congrats Mark and Vince!
  21. I went with the X4. Like Sammyslayer, I can see the weights and my cheaters on my fish finders so I'm not really worried about the depth. The speed and temp readings are rock solid and the probe will work on ANY rigger in the boat without changing out rigger cable. Fish Hawk has really fixed the old issues of the 840. The battery life is awesome. I used one set of batteries in 26 trips on Lake O this summer.
