  1. NICE!!!!!!! Too bad about those blow-off days. That Sabre is lookin' good. We'll be doing the Oak soon.
  2. I have an older Sears 15', web seats with paddles. It's in good condition, no major dents, some scratching to bottom. No leaks as far as I know, it's had very limited use since I've owned it. One strap on one of the web seats needs replacement. PM me if interested.
  3. Eric, are you plannin' on using the tent at Lakeside SP this summer instead of the cottage? There's no charge at the state launch if you're camping at Lakeside.
  4. Thanks for the replies guys. My search is over, I have a pair coming soon.
  5. At the Oak we usually sit on channel 10 but have 7 and 68 tagged, and at times will scan all.
  6. I gotta do some research and determine if they'll mate up to the track. The base is the concern. Thanks for the reply. I'll get back to 'ya.
  7. Thanks for the report Mick. I can't wait to get the 18' out. We usually keep an eye on the attheoak site. Most every year they will post in reports when the docks are in on the west side. We usually put in there as parking the trailer is no issue. AND they usually don't charge early in the season.
  8. Hey guys, I have a question and nobody seems to know the answer. When there is E10 in the tank at the filling station are they required to have a sticker on the pump that signifies E10? I've asked the cashiers at multiple stations if that's E10 and they give me a dumb look and shrug their shoulders. I know that Sunoco has stickers on the pump but others don't. I avoid Sunoco 'cause my mileage drops noticeably with that darn E10. The last time I topped off at a Quick-Fill the fuel smelt like paint thinner. I wonder what the marinas are going to have in their tanks this summer. I believe that 4-C's had ValvTech in the tank last season.
  9. C'mon guys, I know a lot of you have upgraded and have bunches of these laying in your garages/basements.
  10. I think the savage strikes on the screamin' wire dipseys make my poll decision easy. Not to say a tripped rigger doesn't get the blood moving.
  11. Black North is first choice, otherwise there is a place east on 31 in Albion that we like, just off the 98 intersect. The name escapes me at the moment.
  12. Geesh, I better be there, I took the day off from work to go. I'll be there with at least one of my sons.
  13. Looking for a pair of good condition BigJon single multiset holders in silver. I'm going to add a few to the track I just ordered. I currently only run one per gunnel but with the 18" track I'll be able to double up with good separation for the dipseys. BigJon charges a buck an inch and I believe that's a pretty good price for track, even if I have to bore and chamfer a few holes. I'll also be able to swap them to the small boat as needed.
  14. Hey Cam, the www.iceshanty.com site might have some reports/tips for you. We may be on the S end tomorrow.
  15. DW blackmagic, Fishlander green alewife, grapepicker, NK watermelon mag....oops Is that more than two?
  16. I didn't know John but have always seen "Release" on the water when we were out there. I plan on taping up some "screwface" spoons and running them in his honor as I understand he was the originator of that pattern.
  17. Gold/black F7 and 9 raps were good for us last spring. J raps in same sizes (gold/black and red/orange) are usually on a few rods. We've had good results with the stinger reg in clown finish which we usually run on one color of lead. Just gotta be careful on the slow turns or stops in that skinny water.
  18. Oops, was plannin' on hittin' the gills out of Vitale either tomorrow or sat. Maybe I should make an adjustment.
  19. Hey Ray, is there any truth to the rumor that you're going to do a stand-up comedy fishin' thing at the LOTSA expo?
  20. Every year I get a postcard " parts sale" from Moor. I'm looking at the sale as I type this and cannot find the head unit. Their sale prices are good until 2/15/08. You might want to give them a call. I've been to their office/warehouse for parts in the past and they've been very helpful. It's nice to talk to the owner of the company at length. Here's their # 716-821-5304. They might be at the LOTSA expo on the 24th.
  21. Well, let's think about this...if we could legally bang them what would you use? I'd load the 12ga 1100 with 3" steel BB or T shot. What would be the best, most devastating, effective load? It would be nice to whack them when they're flying in a line while trollin'.
  22. Thanks for the replies guys, but I spent the buck and 307 hooked me up last september.
  23. Looks like enough cheeks for "maniac scampi"!
  24. Nice, nice catch gamb. Saw those pics on the shanty site. We may bypass Silver and Conesus and run the extra distance to fish Honeoye this sat. I'm guessin' it will be packed with guys this weekend. We'll probably park at the SE state launch and head NW if we make it out there.
  25. Never fished it but did check it out a few years ago. From what I can recall there is a road to the east shoreline with maybe a few cartop gravel launches along it's length. It used to be an unimproved(?) lake with no cottages/buildings ect. Similar to Hemlock and I think it's a watershed for Rochester so there probably is a hp limit for open water. I recall seeing a map and I believe it's pretty deep. You might want to check out www.iceshanty.com for better, current info.
