  1. Check out the Raymarine dragon fly. You get a lot of features for a great price.
  2. The address is: South Shore Association 6690 S Bay Rd, Cicero, NY 13039 Hours 9am to 1pm!
  3. This is shaping up to be a good one! Fat Nancys, All Seasons Sports, R and R just to name a few vendors who will be there with some great deals!
  4. If I have a hot paddle I dont change a thing. Guys who fish with me have been berated for removing swivels from attractors...HHHMMMM I may need to seek professional help.... I always tie a loop, but I always tie my own leaders.
  5. Is it the Brown camp or Green Camp? If it is the Brown camp I may have left some shotgun shells behind...LOL Gotta love the high water mark!
  6. Just an attempt by Hitler Cuomo to get in our good graces.....He can stuff it...
  7. I believe it has to do with the jigging action the boat is applying to the rod. I find a chute copper deadly in following sea troll. However there are days they want them off of the boards as well. Run it both ways and let them tell you what they want.
  8. My 60lb setup is a 400ft Penn 345 on a 7ft custom fish doctor copper rod. I will probably change it over to an Okuma Solterra this year. Those are the best long copper reels on the market. The power is unbelievable.
  9. The problem with adding weight to copper to get it deeper is it will impart a different action on the copper line. I am not saying its wrong it just becomes a different presentation. The same as 60pd copper versus 45pd copper in my book they are different presentations. I personally am a fan of KISS (not the rock band but I will Jam to them on occasion). The drag of that weight will create more slack while fighting a fish and it is already hard enough to keep the slack up on a copper rig. 250 and 350 is good place to start. I also advocate having 50lb backer. That is my personal choice. Again to each his own we all have our own tricks of the trade that we feel comfortable with.
  10. It works fantastic. Shines in shoot rod application at least for me. Reeling in less is a big advantage. In the interest of full disclosure I am on the Pro Staff. Brian
  11. We do need to stand together I will agree to that. But mark my words... The rednecks will do deer drives with these crossbows during the Non Gun season...
  12. I use a few 320's for 100ft coppers. Works good. I also have a few with 2 or 3 colors of core.
  13. Congrads on your retirement Pete! You have earned it! Now you have to put more hours on that Sea Ray!!
  14. The scoop on this straight from the DEC in region 7 is this will only be enforced at DEC launches. State park launches are not part of this. Can anyone tell me a DEC launch in the eastern basin? Mexico is a State Park launch not affected. I believe there are only 2 on Oneida lake that will be included. This has been started by the Lake Association on Lake George! Suprise Suprise they are trying to get regulations put into effect that will reduce the boat traffic on there lake.... Yuppies from the city who own lake front once again! I am told as long as there are no visible weeds hanging from your trailer, we wont be bothered. Makes sense to me. I would encourage all of you to voice your opinion while you can. We took the time at a recent meeting to discuss this with some of our local state level leaders as they were in attendance.
  15. Sweet Ride Rich!!! I have a thru hull for my 585 600watt it is more then enough. The only time I dont track my rigs is when I am steelhead fishing and am going over 2.9. For the kind of fishing we do it is over kill to have anything over 600 watt. The real trick is mounting it in the correct spot. Mine is probably a hair to far stern and I do get a little air while running. I can still mark depth and bait while at open throttle but I have seen a better picture on other rides. I know Primetime Pete had a 1k in his baha and took it out and installed a 600 a few years ago. Good luck with the ride!
  16. Fishy I passed on your contact number and I also put our contacts number in the original post. Thanks
