  1. That is the deformity that happens when shaker kings are twisted/torn from lures and mouth tearing occurs. It is a necessary evil that happens no matter how much care is taken. Jerry Rebel Charters
  2. Brian & Team that was AWESOME. Thanks for coming over to show me/crew & family that fish. It does look to be a Natural produced lake trout depending on the official age of it. Only 1 old/small scar on the entire fish WOW. You are so right on about the "little network of Sandy creek guy's". EVERY Charter capt. & ALL rec. boats & launchers & marina owners, ALL share in each OTHERS wins & success. You do not see that very often in any other port on this lake. NOW please tell me what the 12 donut combination is you guy's use every time you go out ? Is the over/under 4 on the French curlers ? Again great job and good luck with it. Jerry Rebel Charters PS Brian i need to get you a remote control for our opening/closing skylites in our house, if you are going to continue WHOOPING it up off our house and locations east, PLEASE shut our skylites BEFORE the 1st cowbell gets bellow 120 ft down.
  3. Great Job AGAIN Brian. BUT unfortunatly I am going to have to tell my wfe it was YOU that woke her up !!!!!!!!!!! You my friend NEED a Cowbell SILENCER if you are going to fish off my house. Jerry Rebel Charters
  4. If Bruce boated 2 on that specific day there is a GOOD chance I landed only 1. I've known Bruce since HIS Penn Yan days. How does the saying go on the "Chiller" T.V. channel---- SCARY GOOD... that would be what i have seen in the past 28++++ years personally. Jerry Runnin Rebel
  5. They did have a trout & Salmon category for the whole country. We competed with all the Great Lakes @ once. We are standing @ #131 on money list. Jerry Rebel Charters
  6. Ah Come on.............. NOT another Sandy Creek guy moving east & trying to save The River Gang ! I already have my share now of Sandy"Experts" saving the West End. Can't wait till the Sept. Charter meeting Matt & Scott. Get to Irondequoit fish/game club EARLY please. Jerry Runnin Rebel
  7. What a GREAT report. THANKS !!!! That detail/pics & description is up there with Yankee Troller style reports. Jerry Runnin Rebel
  8. Nice fish Brian & good luck with him in the derby. Also great to hear 33Canuck up in our neck of the woods. Jerry Runnin Rebel

  10. Lower vvvvvvvvvv old timer...............
  11. Thanks Cornelis. That 1st place Salmon was a TOTAL TEAM EFFORT. I just happen to be the "slow" guy resting in front of the rod he came on. 5th place Brown div. (Rob) & 19th salmon div.(Jason) are the REEL SUPERMEN on our team. You are correct EXCEPT it is 1 L and 2 C's for the wooden boat. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  12. Happy B-Day Joe. May you drink LESS than your relatives today only. Jerry Runnin Rebel
  13. Congradulations Jason & Tricia AGAIN & Again & again............. That was an extremely WELL run & VERY FUN Tournament. It's the 1st. tourney I have ever fished with a regular charter aboard. After talking to Yankee Troller Craig- Their charter was Crazy Happy fishing with them in an event and booked next year that day. Rob-Scott- Keith-Mike Engle and TONS of support family/friends did a great Job. & a 40 ++ teams turn out was Unbelievable. Great to see L.O.U. guy,s & family in person (FX-Skipper 19/wife-Tcon/Tom-Ray K/Casey & others). Next year has GREATER POTENTIAL with more sponsors I see coming & boat/trailer storage available near Hamlin Beach Etc. THANKS AGAIN. Jerry Runnin Rebel
  14. Rick The Mosquito problem is solved BUT the dock where FREE DUMB CHARTERS is still sucks ................. Jerry Runnin Rebel
  15. WELL SAID: Brian---Tall Tails (BIG thanks to VOLUNTEER Marlene also) Tim-----Finders Keepers (You guy,s REALY GET the WHOLE tournament concept from lake O promotions to Pro-Am having FUN to mentioning the Recooping fact of exhaustion) And Congrats on a STRONG 2 tournament East End Pro-Am run ! Rod-----Congradulations on your team win in the open. You stated & SHOWED what the Pro-Am Open division is all about -FUN/less expense than almost ANY tourney out there/FUN & MORE FUN with family and friends...... FINAL NON-FISHING thoughts: Winning or even placing in a derby/tournament is a BONUS. The satisfaction/enjoyment comes from being there/competing AND MAKING MEMORIES. It is better to compete and lose on ANY tourney level than it is to NOT compete and complain. Honestly ask yourselves how many more years or tourney,s do you think life has in store for any of us ????????? Jerry Rebel Charters This whole rant was probobley due to the fact that in my 30 ++ years tournament fishing, I WAS THE OLDEST PERSON on the boat in last weeks Oswego Pro-Am. THAT NEVER HAPPENS..... And THE BIGGEST COMPETETOR EVER out there, which is also one of my best friends (Thrillseeker Vince/Stephanie &&&& CREW) has caused us to both to step up the Competative nature & execution we both LIVE FOR. BUT that FACT causes strain on a relationship & I would deep down rather have the dinners/casino,s & French onion soups-Ice cream with Vince as "FRIENDS", instead of the FUTURE "ATTIC/BASEMENT trophy,s we win against each other as "COMPETETORS". That goes for every other team i have met along the way also (to Many to even count) And the fact that i still have not learned how to consume alcohol beverages yet.
  16. Also on a side note. I lost 3 inches of lake depth in the last 2 weeks on our shore line/coves. Typicaly the lake levels continue to RISE in May and peak in June. With no abundance of water coming down from the upper Great lakes and very little rain so far/dry-pre drought conditions Already starting. Now with these ULTRA-HIGH surface temps this early, this will make Surface area's on all the great lakes much more condusive for evaporation this year. Without alot of rain this summer I would guess a VERY SHALLOW level of lake & marina conditions to happen much earlier this summer. I can see 12" grass growing on my transom now in that 80 degree stagnent marina water this August ! Best of luck and being prepared is a good idea. Jerry REBEL CHARTERS
  17. Chad AWESOME REPORT & PICTURES. Glad you had a great time. That has to be over 100 fish you & Smokin Joe & MORE SMOKEM Larry caught in last 2 weekends ! Call when Joe is up again & you have time to run some "practice assaults" with us again. Unkel Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  18. Joe, That is my backyard and did not here anything yet. I did catch a musky in the open lake in Mexico bay while in the Wayne County Pro-Am. It was 49" long and over #40. Had to net it with 2-Salmon nets & it took 3 of us to hold it up (belly was too fat to just head/tail it). Me & Larry(Chad's dad) & Pat(Persistance-Sandy creek) & local buddy Frank along with our spotter will NEVER FORGET that 45 min fight or the 1/2 hour it took us to revive it to release, ALL FOR 0-ZERO-0 Pro-Am points. Jerry REBEL CHARTERS
  19. Happy Birthday Chad man !!! Come on down for some "small' fishing onshore @ my house. As stated (Vince prediction) the French onion soup is all gone, BUT the birthday crab legs are waiting for you & Katie. Call soon for your B-day dinner. "Bait girl" wants to upgrade her old spot for your new summer/winter weekend rental you found this past weekend. Have a great week Uncle Jerry
  20. Congrats Jeremy. GREAT JOB and GREAT fish! Nothing builds confidence stronger than an event like Tue. for a new boat/set up. We were able to leave early for trip back to Sandy Creek after the AM trip because of a charter no-show in the afternoon. Very happy to hear the news that you crushed the Lake trout streak that was setting up into next years event. Jerry REBEL CHARTERS
  21. STEELHEAD'R wrote: "You don't have to worry about the Rochester paper. The outdoor section is almost non existent for fishing and hunting. It was decent with Floyd King and went downhill since. I'm going to cancel the paper I will not complain about the lack of fishing/hunting coverage from the Rochester newspaper. Instead I will try to get an article in it about how GREAT the fishing is so far in the 2012 season that is occurring LAKE WIDE. That should make the East end fishing community happy and resurrect this thread again 2 months from now ! Leo Roth has expanded duties now with the retirement of many senior staff there. Floyd King was many, many years ago, before rock climbing & dog sledding were even popular. Fred if i cannot get some attention to this lake in an article this summer then i will pay for your tue. & thur paper this fall. JERRY REBEL CHARTERS
  22. Very nice boat Pete, Congrats. Best of luck . Jerry REBEL CHARTERS
  23. Bruce, I saw 3 kings over #27 pounds and a HAWG @ #32.44 pounds weighed in at St. Catherine's this past KOTL tournament weekend. The prior week there was a tourney they had there and it was won with a #29 plus king. This amount of kings in this LARGE a square area of the lake has NEVER been seen before,. ALL in APRIL. The down side negative was the clipped (stocked) to NON-clipped (natural) salmon weighed in was a 70% +++++ ratio in favor of the finned/natural kings. With officialy OVER 500 kings weighed (w/big fish fri.) and HUNDREDS more "handled" it was kind of a head scratcher. D.E.C. confirmed the amount of "naturals" there creel senses were showing them, as i talked with them in length @ Olcott harbor creel stop on Sun. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  24. I am currently having a 20# + Summer steelhead Replica mount done.(caught June Niagara Pro-am) I will post pics as soon as i get him back. Jerry REBEL CHARTERS
