  1. I am happy to see this fishing event going forward. I apoligize for any issues that might have arisen from past posts. Lets keep this positve, and i appreciate all of those who are helping to keep this tournament alive. I will be looking for the sodus pro am website. Thanks again.
  2. I spoke to somebody at hook line and sinker. The person had no information about a tournament in july. He did say that she? talked about it and might do something on the internet about it. He didnt even know the dates she was talking about. It sounds to me that IF there is to be a tournament, it wont be as spectacular as the past pro-ams. I hope somebody steps in and gets this event rolling and it becomes as good or even better then the past. This is the only one our team does anymore, and we look forward to this every year.
  3. This does not sound good. I would contact the dec, or the local officer to let them know of your experience.Lets hope this not what we think it could be. Possibly shad dying off, i know they are all over the genny now.
  4. Good job rich, got love those one day, big box, sweat em out deals. We had the same scenario at that port, back many years ago. You always wonder why in the f... did they leave. Someone ring the dinner bell elsewhere. Keep it rolling, good luck.
  5. And what pound backing are we running rob? I have two 553s i am going to put 40lb braid 150yds on both. Hopefully 500ft 45lb bloodrun on one and 400 on the other.
  6. I am glad to see it everything came together going west. There is hardly ever after a good blow in the direction we had, where that doesnt pan out. Leaving early as we all love to do, isnt so much a factor as well. You need the sun to penetrate the mud. I am going to start running again tommorrow, feeling a little better, not much. Good luck in the canuck land, and tell craig to stay away from the peelers.
  7. That was a great virgin splash. I hear the river is rippin with gators everywhere. I hope to be tagging a few fins this weekend. I cant lift anything over 5lbs so they say, so i will have a net boy. Good job frenchy, keep the sharks rolling, someone has to show us how to do it. Bob fuller spoons already gettin chewed, you are killing me. I am glad to see his tackle take off like it has. See you at the dock
  8. When i have been reduced to the fertile waters of ibay, due to mother nature, i hardly ever go past the south side of the bridge. I would turn at the first cattail point on the west side south of 104, go across bay, up the other side to buoys, and back around. Hope that helps
  9. Good deal rich and crew. Sucks that there is such skinny water to fish, and everyone wants in. Now go on, git, to the west you go.
  10. Fished sunday east and there was a very small pocket of water in front of the bay that held fish. We had less bites then the previous days, but we did have some cookie cutters which was nice to see, as well as 2yr olds. Only one laker, so they must have left for the day. Monday despite the snow squalls and the 30 plus winds we fished, they had to go, that day only. We had 6 bites and landed 2 fish for a short trip. (thank god) We tucked in behind braddocks point, which really wasnt much of tucking in. Had one good one and a junior to show for our efforts. The water was very colored and choppy. I wont be out till the end of the month if everything goes well. I am having my second back surgery on thursday. I will be fishing on L.O.U. till then. Good luck and leave some for seed.
  11. I fished the last 2 days, one west and one east. Temps were 39 to 34. The bites were almost the same with 18 one way and 19 the other. The east trip we had 8 lakers up to 14lbs. That was the first time in years i have caught that many in the shallows in rochester. We had quality browns both days as well. I have not seen to many cookie cutters which has me worried a little about the future. Hopefully they will show up soon, time will tell.

  14. Leave those fish alone, i will need them on the 24th. Now i have to tell the people what those holes are in thier mouths. Just havin fun, nice job, good to see some older fish around.
  15. There is nothing better than hearing my beagles or any hounds for that matter screaming on the trail. We shot 17 brown ones yesterday in just a half day with my one dog. ( the other has a lame leg right now) I am always sad to see the season end every year. I will go shoe hunting a couple more times this year before that ends. Then comes fishing.

  17. Thanks vince, sodus is the one that works the best for me. I have always enjoyed the west tourneys in the past but buisness keeps me home, which is a good thing. Sounds like ther is alot of interest in continuing the event. I did not know that the pro-am bailed out of wayne county. The reason why?
  18. Can i please find out all of the 2013 proam dates? Thanks
  19. Hey rich, i went to check out my boat and hit the pier at irondequoit. I talked with a guy who spoke to you on your way in. I figured it was you and he told me of your bites. Upon hearing that i stayed there for a full 15 minutes and went to shippies to see what was going on. The water is as shallow as i have EVER seen it,WOW! The zebra shells washed up on the shore there were at least 4 if not 5 feet deep, ungodly. Took a few casts, no bites and left. If we have to deal with this scary low water i am going to buy stock in prop shops and lure companys.
  20. Excluding this sporadic bite on salmon in front of the genny this mid to late september i would DEFINATELY say this was the best year i have seen in 28yrs of chartering. I am talking numbers, size, availability to species, and overall wind and currents. I believe the people out there caught wind of this, cause my trips were up a little bit. When its good, its all good. 2 trips left, then its time for fur and feathers.
  21. Thanks daybreak, and there is something better than that set up matt, but that was a thought.
  22. So i go out on my charter 8/31 in the am get my rigs and divers in, put out the otter board, go to grab my 450 copper, and somebody grabbed before me. I dont mean my clients, i mean some a;;hole took it. I used it on the evening charter the day before. They stole it that night after 9:30 when my people left. This is the second time in a year we ( my dock neighbor ) have been ripped off. We have gate at the dock, lights, people who live on their boats near us. I think they came by water and knew what they wanted. Equipment can be replaced which sucks, but i feel so violated its bull;;it. I am going for a security system, and hook the boat up to 220 electric and look for ashes in the morning. BASTARDS!!!!
