  1. We will have coffee and donuts/Danish. They did say the bar would be open as well.
  2. So probably 30 to 50 times a year I get customers ask me if these fish are safe to eat. I look at them and start laughing, because most of them have a cig or a beer or both in their hands. What? they say, what's so damn funny???? I say I have never heard of anyone dying from eating fish unlike tobacco and alcohol where how many die everyday. They usually say you got a point there. Then I go on to explain to them that they grind the whole fish up for study. I remember back in the early to mid eighties cornell did a study from properly fillets of brown, laker, salmon. They came back with most of our drinking water was more contaminated then the fish. They also said there was more contaminates in a jar of peanut butter. I kept that paper work on my boat for the longest time. I would love to have somebody find that study again. Me, if it runs, swims, or flies I hunt it and eat it.
  3. Thanks Vince, working on it.
  4. That's right jerry. Damn it, now the cat is out of the bag.I can see it now, boats everywhere in genny water,,,,,NOT. It is beginning to look like the same scenario as 2014, lets' hope so.
  5. Last spring right on through till the end of june was by far the BEST salmon fishing I can remember in the Rochester area. I am going to back to 1977 when I first got my feet wet. I can also say that last year L.O. had the most ice cover I have seen. I can only hope this year does the same. Bait might suffer a little but we will never feel the impact.
  6. Thanks Rob. I still have to talk to bob about refreshments. I will call him shortly.
  7. Really rich, you of all people looking for the last fish for the money. You would do anybody, oops i mean anything to get that last one, tangles, crack offs, whatever.
  8. Yes i did scott, i had a open skull fracture with 13 stitches and two cracked vertebrae in my lower neck. Sold the sled, all done riding. 45yrs i seen the light. It will take a little bit to get me back to usual. I am happy to be alive and not a vegetable. Thanks for asking.
  9. Couldn't even finish watching it, sad. I know its a vicious circle, but we could do with less of the dogs.
  10. He always has some smart ass remark to any post starcraft.
  11. I have them and used them and i am not impressed. If you give any slack on the way in (with fish or without) it resets itself and you are fighting the diver.
  12. I have and still do occasionally run a free slider on my wires or mono divers. Are they effective, not really the hot set up, but they will catch fish without a major mess. Nothing else it makes me feel good.
  13. Man oh man, all these secrets come out now. Only if i would have known, rats, thin fins, rattles, what the hell.
  14. Shimano charters specials still kick butt. Replace a clicker every couple years and you are good to go. I am glad tuna tom worked for you matt.
  15. Way too much time on your hands
  16. They took the concept of a sled (snowmobile) and put it to a boat. Great thought, couldn't imagine cost and repairs.
  17. Will you get a job or something? Go pick on the eyes up north or Honeoye or or steelhead in the river, or anyplace else other then where you were. What the hell. Just bustin, nice to see, good job. Now git out of there.
  18. I want to buy 2 dozen full body and 2 dozen sillouette goose decoys. Call or email me. 585-750-3164
  19. This was no doubt one of the tougher years for quality bucks. Our group of many years managed to get 2 bucks that will hit 140 mark. We usually see and capture a few more mature bucks then that. The numbers are down even in southern monroe, ontario counties where most of our hunts take place. A good friend owns and manages 600 acres in naples/prattsburg area that we hunt and that is dismal as well. The numbers just are not what they were and will probably never be will again. The state will never change their attitude, just like the big pond. Oh well, suck it up, deal with it, and carry on. Have a great holiday season.
  20. I was riding sleds coming back from stillwater heading west leading a group of 6 sleds around 1998. I rounded a corner and no doubt in my sights was a mountain lion /cat. I have seen them before in idaho whitetail hunting, so i was not mistaken. The banks were 6ft plus high and so was the snow. this cat jumped the bank and ran through the snow like it was his job, and it was. Like a idiot i jumped off my sled and try to look at over the next ridge, and well to say i was buried is a understatement. The rest of the group came around the corner and didn't know what to think. I told them and showed them the tracks, and they still weren't sure. Oh well, to this day i know what i saw.
  21. I have 10 mounts that I hate to sell but I have no where to put them in the new house. They range from a 105" 8pt to a 157" 10pt.(I am keeping a few others) They are all in mint shape and have been done by many different people. I am asking 125$ each. That's cheap considering it cost at least 350$ or more. Call 585-750-3164 if interested.
  22. How in the hell do you get them alive???? And keep them that way???
  23. Use crickets they work better, ripper.
  24. I shot buckhammers for a some years till they DQed em. Now I shoot brennekee K.O. 1oz 2 3/4 inch with great results out of the same gun. I have 2 of them. One with open sights and one with glass. Once in a while you will get a flyer on paper. They put em down no problem, and they are 6.50 a box. I talked to brennekee myself and had got some good info.
