  1. just want to clear up a point concerning an email that is going around about giving the $85B that went to AIG to every person 18 years of age and over, The decimal point in the math is wrong. Instead of $425,000.00 for each person, the real math shows it to be $425.00 per person. However, please continue to impress upon your Representatives and Senators that a bailout/loan is not the answer. Can we all say FAIR TAX?
  2. Notice the wide eyes and mouths agape .....because it's the fear of Ray coming from behind and they knew the sheep who had the same predicament

  5. Ray, use the familiar bite to catch cormorants and use them like the asians do...put the cormies on a leash and deploy off the boat and reel em back in after they fill their gullet with catch of the day.. then squeeze em to git yer dinner
  6. funy how Ray knows the edit feature...hmmmm :?

  9. On the water at 6:30 am fished 50 t0 150 fow 2 hrs....Nada..too much warm water in close from the north winds...several boats out in that area but most went north and I did too. Trolled out to the .32n line and .17-.18w sector and hooked up with small steely on 42 second spoon down 70ft at 2.8 gps. another on and off shortly after on the pretty jane jitter fly and mtn. dew spinny run on a mono dipsey out 210ft. Moved east to the .15-.14w line on a southeast heading, put 2 more steelys in the box.. dropped two others...no kings...not sure where they went....but they were not very many..some reports said some kings were coming at 130 down on the riggers  Marked very little bait until the .29 line..NW wind made a tough troll going out deep...ended 3 for 6 on steelys nothing over 6 lbs...all in all very slow for 10 hours of troll. Mark
  10. DEC will watch you from the woods to the south from the access road..they have spotting scopes..DO NOT DO ANY SNAG RELATED MOTIONS... they will come like fies...also make sure to have PFD's for everyone, the sheriff makes daily pilgramages up the river and always gets somebody for something...the tackle rules are the same for the rest of the river but I would check the book because they change often... Trailer hole can be fun with the goings on there but be warned as I said ...fish by the rules and you will have no problems...I've had buddies get hammered there for snagging motions and bare hooks, no pfd's and such... I witnessed a guy using a snag hook disquised with a rubber skirt get arrested and boat confiscated, so be careful
  11. Good Idea...probably costs less than my plano box from howies full of plastic tubes with caps....your idea reminds me of how I store ice fishing jig rigs on a cut off 12 ga. shotshell with slits in the ends then I store it inside an old 35mm film container. Mark
  12. My video camera has 1500x zoom....if I can see Ray's boat ...believe me i'll get it on record and everyone can view "BUFFY MODE" on You Tube...wait scratch that.....that's probably encouragement
  13. i know he did all rays head work and check him out hes fine ! As long as he pulls his shorts back up over his head
  14. I know some places like water treatrment and power plants use the stuff to clean the zebras off the intake tube but this was a very large amount of smell I think.
  15. running flashers and dodgers or lures with a large amount of drag brings dipseys closer to the track of the boat and not plane out as much as less drag say from a spoon or j plug...the more resistance the less plane effect...you might try higher number settings when useing high resistance tackle, or a larger dipey with the ring. also on turns if you can speed up a little it helps the inside dipsey stay on plane...if it slows down on the inside of your turn too much it will "slip" out of plane and actually move toward the opposite side due to the weight setting....in other words it is very important to maintain a speed that keeps the line tight and the rod bent over real good...slowing down to near stopping will cause a bad mess.. so if ya got a fish that is tough to land you might want to consider pulling the dipsey in.... shorter leads on the ball from riggers will help too.
  16. Wonder if anybody else noticed the smell of chlorine near the 28 to 32 north line at 15 to 13 west from the Oak...every so often a wiff came and it was pretty strong... son noticed it too. Also heard of a cargo ship calling on the radio to check the radar return in his course of travel...the return on the radio was the Canadian Coasties doing a water sample in the shipping lanes...just wondering what this was about.
  17. I fish alone alot...but far away from Ray cause he keeps askin me if I wanna come over and see his buffy mode...uh UUUUHH! not me. Paul I don't think Ray should be allowed to fish "buffy" cause he would be inclined to use an il-leagle rod I think I've seen him on the MODIS camera out there like that  Fishin' alone is my forte' I'll remember it for next year Mark
  18. A big charter out of oswego cut in front of me twice in the same pass and was yelling at me to turn so not to get his 3 copper rods....... Maybe they will modernize and finally trade that "JUNK" fer some real downriggers and ditch that old school tech...my granpa usta use outhouse wirin fer fishin' 70 years ago
  19. Did we...or are we...going to have it??? or was I seeing things again...HUH huh,,whats up? Where was it? when is it? or just IS there one...sounds like some fun for a day....any body got the info? Mark
  20. All that oil recently went to raise the prices in Asia... so the export prices out paced the domestic and gave us the relief at the gas pump in the form of the fart from the south.....last year it was just an excuse and political jousting points. If'n it goes down 15 cents and ya burn 100gal in a tourny fishin'... ya could prolly save 'nuff ta get some new shorts ta replace the "ONE" ya used fer yer jib sail, Ray
  21. Pervert, ..... I know....it's a compliment....or an accomplishment?...hmmm :?
  22. Lots of small glass minnows eating it up out on the surface at 500 feet today.
  23. Man what a nice day! Smooth ride too! started off out west thia time around the pump house and moved east to just pass the wall in 55fow....threading the needle with a lot off traffic...2hrs and that was enough watching nobody swing a net but one..and that was not us!...So we picked up and ran north to the 28 line at 15w and reset trolling north...15 minutes trolling, Chris grabs a rod off the rigger pulling the 42 second mag spoon down 60 feet...long tussle with this pictured below A king  Imagine that... we were trying in close for a king and we come out here to the 28line for steels and there it is...this 23lbr This is one of many steelhead we caught between the 30 and 32 lines... all were great fish just like this from 8lbs to 11lbs...they came mostly on copper out 400 and 300 feet pulling a pro-troll echip flasher white and pearl/chrome pulling a 4" blue dolphin jitter fly, running of the outriggers...nk 28 took a couple..as well of the down riggers. Doctor spoon took a hit on a slider and dropped one 30 feet behind the boat....lost count on the steels, just a lot of them all nice and released:) Hope every one had a fun safe weekend. Mark
