  1. That's a good point I like the way you think!
  2. Can't fish the tourney but the Reel Hooked Up boat is in for $100. Shoot me a PM with the info. Sean
  3. Good luck on the big O! Hopefully the fishing will be better than Wilson was this past week. This warm weather will get the Niagara water warmed up.
  4. Great Fish! What program were you running? Sean
  5. I've fished all over the world in just about every location my wife and I have traveled, even snuck out on two charters on the honeymoon . The guys in NY charge no where near what they should. I have paid 1500 to 2k for a full day trip in Alaska or for offshore fishing on the East coast and it is worth every dime. Now for tipping like said above everyone is different I'm a big tipper so we always hook up the mate and captain my main reason is I know what's involved and goes into the buisness. My advise is do what you feel is right and what you are comfortable with. If you have the trip of your life which you state to the Capt several times learn a bunch and put over 50 fish in the boat. Don't hand the Capt 20 bucks and say you guys did a great job go get a cup of coffee for you and your mate on me! As the mate hands you 50 pounds of perfectly packaged fish fillets that he just finished. . You might not find an opening with him the next year! LOL. On the other hand I've got tips so big I've tried to give some back it all works out in the end.
  6. Looks good! My girls have that Friday off from school so they will be running the boat that day.
  7. Great job Mike! That is one hell of a Keuka Laker you should be proud of that one. Makes me happy to hear you guys got it done and on the Seneca Ghost even better. Jason and I will be running a new version of that flasher up in Wilson can't wait. Once again great fish!!
  8. I have multiple blue seas fuse boxes on the boat they are great. For the riggers I ran heavy gauge wire from batt to a 100 amp breaker then from that to the fuse box all riggers run to fuse box. Then when boat is not in use I just hit the switch on the breaker and you have no power draw to worry about.
  9. Changed a year or two ago! Seneca, Keuka, and Canandaigua your five fish limit can be 5 Lakers or 5 browns if you have a combination of fish no more than 5 total one being a rainbow, or three salmon. Like Jason said if you go east to Cayuga or Owasco its like it used to be three Lakers in your combo only. They did it in this region to try and cut back on Lakers to give the other trout and salmon a chance. Now for a FLTA tourney you can't use five Lakers even on Keuka or Seneca. Sean
  10. I smelled some barbeque the other day! I got flies, lures of all sorts, rods, and reels what ever you need.
  11. Let's all stop picking on my neighbor! I don't wanna see him on the deck crying. We could take up a donation to get him a new hat. I got a reel hooked up hat you can have Marty the fish will jump in the boat if you put that on. LOL.
  12. Nice one! Yup if I was fishing big Lakers I'd have three or four of my top baits in and that would be it. Hit the same big fish hide outs all day and whait for it to happen!
  13. In all seriousness during the derby we don't run many lines way to many idiots. I had a guy troll right across my ass last year he was so close he got my 100 copper. If you are fishing for big Lakers less is better. If I get a clear area to work with bows or salmon then I'll load them up. Sean
  14. You can't run trips if you can't handle seven guys on the boat that's just five clients and you and a mate. Do it every trip. Jason and I can have twenty rods out faster than you can untangle the leaders for one Seth Green rig. . LOL
  15. Water is clear to clear. Yesterday sucked south east wind blew warm water out so the fish retreated to the canal. Watched guys in kayaks catch one big salmon after another when I was loading boat in the canal. Tomorrow they could be back in lake.
  16. Its Great! Try a 140 gallon tank
  17. Just turn left south bound on 14 when you get to bottom of 224 hill in Montour. Then a mile down on left is lakes gas only place around with ethanol free gas. They sell a lot of it parking lot is big and easy to get going back north again. Just put a couple hundred in my rig two days ago at their place.
  18. I'm sure it was not easy! Thanks for the information a lot of us have been thinking about this issue the last couple years. So just so I am clear no team should fish outside of US waters, since we are all starting from a US port? I was going to get the Canadian fishing license tomorrow but I'll hold off on that. You can see how digging into the issue opens more cans of worms. Even an observer from another team could get ya jamed up if he is on board and has issues with a bad pass port or enhansed licence. I know my guys dont have warrants or weed on them but who knows about the guy im getting from some one else. All stuff you can deal with on US side but may not go so well for customs check. Thanks Sean
  19. I'f you drive south and don't fish Ontario hit Seneca not Cayuga. If you got to go to Seneca get on my site and give me a call. I'll be on the water and let you know where to go. Three years ago I'd of sent you to Cayuga the lampreys took care of that. Sean
  20. Don't know if I'll fish Friday but I'll make a donation. Sean
  21. Reel Hooked Up boat will be out all weekend! Its the one with the twenty rod spread and the guy constantly putting fish in the net. Its always fun I hope the weather is great and all of you guys get a bunch of fish! That wind last year sucked. I have two friends with their sons fishing for the weekend and they are wound up and ready to go. Sean
