  1. Wilson and Spring LOC will be fun, will need an ice breaker to fish if this keeps up.
  2. I have the sub-troll and Fish hawk on the boat, they both work. I have to say that the customer support for Fish Hawk is the best you could ask for. I had a probe unit that quit working I sent it back to fish Hawk the day they received it they sent me a new unit. No warranty info needed! They stand behind what they make. Sean
  3. Finger Lakes, That top pic was a March Brown trout trip to Sodus put so many in the boat we got sick of reeling. I hope we have another spring like that.
  4. Reel Hooked Up, Parker 2320 Sport Cabin
  5. We use the Ugly Stick BWD 1101 9f or they have it in an 8ft 3. Will work for every thing on any lake, then you will need your dipsy rods. With a 17ft Crestliner if you could get enough folks in it you could run as many rods as you want. Put a load of kids in it and put out 18 rods.
  6. A few boats out of Severne today! Lake is looking good. Sean
  7. Ill check it tomorrow Friday. I know two days ago it had at least 4 inches covering the entire marina out to the break wall.
  8. Look at some of the RAM mounting systems then mount the X4 mount to that. Should work I mounted both of my sub trolls to them and left X4 on dash but could have put X4 on one.
  9. Any age limit? Think ill bring the kids and let them do this one. Sean
  10. South end launch is all froze up! The warm up this coming weekend might open it up. First time in years that I've seen the south end iced up. Sean
  11. If you want to start with boards and two per side get four church inline boards. In spring on fingers a four color and a five color on one side then a 200 and 250 or 300 copper on the other. If your going to spend $$ start with stuff that catches fish and learn how to use it. Those four setups with the right cranks or spoons in the spring will keep you busy all day. Sean
  12. As for the rigger ball set it in a five gallon bucket or your cooler. Don't leave it hanging on the rigger when pounding down the lake or the road. Watched a guy drive down 14 this past summer with them hanging off the riggers:)
  13. The lowrance HDS units have been good to me and they take all the map chips. I know in past the customer service sucked but I had an issue with a unit last year it got very wet and I had a key pad issue. Sent it back and they sent me a new one no hassle. Check out BOE marine Jim is a good guy and they are the top marine electronic installers on east cost. So if you have a question it gets answered quick.
  14. Nice Marty! It was cold putting the rest of the metal on that barn roof this morning. Got it almost finished up.
  15. All the does we have on the farm only one fawn button buck. The rest are dead coyotes got them all. I'll see 10 bucks for every doe.
  16. Thanks Brian! That's the kind of info I am looking for. Sean
  17. Just checking to see if anyone has gone on a good hunt out west that they would recommend. Always have done it myself but I'm limited on vacation time now so might use an outfitter. I've always hunted Colorado but I do have three preference points for Wyoming that I have purchased the last three years. Thanks Sean
  18. Thanks guys it was a great tournament, and we had a blast! I had a boat full of first timers but they did a great job and never lost a fish. Only fish we dumped was a good bow and I ripped him off to keep him; from breaking off the big laker he got wrapped up with. They put over 30 in the boat and the majority of them were from 7:30 to 9am. The plan was to start shallow in 80 to 100fow and get a brown to start the day. We ran North from Lodi a bit and when I dropped my probe I had to hit 100 ft for temp.As the rigger was coming up a school of bait busted on the surface. So I ran some short core and some good bow/salmon spoons down 80 to120. It was non stop on bows and salmon so we had to switch over to a laker program. Two deep riggers and two deep divers out 240 to 260 just ticking bottom, took several Lakers. We hit one area where we marked some huge marks at 60 to 70 ft down. Ran out two 300 ft coppers and took the 13 lb laker and some good bows in that area. The big laker faught like a beast and was the biggest fish my brother in law has ever caught. I want to give a big thanks to everyone involved, Joe , Nick, Mike, and all the guys that fished. I have fished all over and have done a lot of tournaments up north. And jason and I have said it a hundred times the best fishermen and all around best group of guys to hang out with are on the finger lakes. Thanks again and let's have another one!
  19. Nice!! Won't be a fish caught on a Seth green rig on my boat either.
