  1. Hi Marty!! You can never have to many boats. Jason needed a spot to park his ride. Everything is for sale though. LOL
  2. Day after cold front Sunday they could both be tough
  3. Good job Mike! Wish I could have fished it , I figured it would be tough with that front that blew in.
  4. Great job Mike! I can't whait to get back out, glad you got to take the boys and girlfriend out.
  5. I wax the deck but have Dri-Dek tiles over it so I only have to clean it a couple times a year instead of after every trip for hours.
  6. Nice job guys!
  7. You got a pm! Thanks guys and have fun .
  8. Thanks, Should be a good year, we only had two little lampreys on the fish all day and one good brown had an old eel mark. Lots of good browns this year they look better than the salmon for numbers. We had a load of salmon in the 15 to 17 inch range that were all released. If they make it, next fall and winter should be good. Sean
  9. Had great morning on the lake today, the wind held out for most of the day and it wasn’t as cold as our previous trip. For the first two hours I couldn’t get more than a few rods in, as soon as I would let out the 100 copper another good salmon or brown would rip the line from my hand. As I was setting the second rigger down to 50 ft we had the first good brown at the back of the boat, that’s when someone asked where’s the net? Dam it was still in the back of the truck. Good thing I like to hand line fish because every one of them today had to be and we never did lose one due to no net. For everyone we put in the cooler we let four go it was one of those days you only get a few of each year. Salmon and Brown were in the top 40 fow Lakers came from 60 down to 150 and we caught a lot of them. Flashers and flies off dipsys and riggers took Lakers and the silver fish were loving the DW spoons, and natural colored cranks off 100, 200, 250 blood run, and 4 and 5 color core.
  10. If your running down lake with main motor you got to have kicker out of water. When at the dock i keep it up out of the water but I do keep it down while trailering down the road.
  11. You got info in a PM
  12. South end then North up 10 miles.
  13. South end has two open now and Severne off of ST-14 19 miles North of Watkins on West side is a great launch.
  14. Did a trip on Seneca yesterday, it was one cold day to be out on the Lake. The group I had did great and they showed up dressed for the weather and never wanted to quit. The fishing was the best we have had this year so far, it was non stop we had two to six fish on almost all morning. We had a full crew on so we ran a 18 rod spread of mostly wire divers and Blood Run copper rigs, and core off the boards; every rod took fish. Later in the day about mid morning we switched over to the deep wire divers and riggers and crushed the lakers down 120 to 160 with flashers and flies. Seneca ghost, pole dancer flies, as well as the king of sting spoon and others were all hot. Boards were all iced up! A few of the rods one of the Lakers All boxed out
  15. I have a remote throttle control on my kicker with power trim and tilt in my pilot house same controls and set up that's on my big motor. Question is we fish all winter on the Finger Lakes and my throttle cable freezes up. I must have got some moisture in the cable where it connects to the kicker and it worked its way back down the cable. What can I spray back down the cable that might keep it from freezing, but not destroy the cable covering. Thanks Sean
  16. Most important thing for Bows is trolling angle/light reflection and water temp, speed not so much. Certain times of the year you will struggle to catch them, I think this is mainly when alot of insects are hatching like late spring. We will see them feeding on the surface certain days when its calm. We keep a good log on the boat and have got fairly good bow program going. They seem to follow the same schedule every year and travel to different areas of the lake throughout the season year after year .
  17. Go to the links page on my website I have a link to his site great folks to deal with tell him I sent you. Sean
  18. No problem with that set up! I would run a mag on 1.5 then a one on 2.5. Like others have said four wires will work all year and fleas won't bug ya. With that 20ft boat you could run 20 rods with no tangles. Sean
  19. Had a good morning on Seneca today, the wind was ripping out of the South so we stayed on the Watkins end. Put several good Lakers, Browns, and Salmon in the boat all but three went back to be hooked again. The Blood Run coppers were hot today as well as the Seneca Ghost fly with a white flasher down deep. It was all cranks and spoons off the copper and core off the boards. Had a guy from Texas out for his first time trout fishing he got a reeling workout today.
  20. I've hand lined 9 ft sail fish big tuna and sharks with no problems. But like the other's have said only make leader as long as what works for you and your boat.
  21. We hand line lots of fish, I also have 11 ft of deck room for clients to back up with a 10ft to 11 ft rod. So we run 40lb and all 10 to 12 ft plus. Seems like on Seneca the longer dipsys leads work great, then shorter off riggers.
  22. Today's dealing with cannon was enjoyable! Last week waited for an hour on hold today no whait and part is on the way.
  23. I found it online at a tackle shop so at least I know a part number. Will see how it goes tomorrow, I love it when stuff brakes before you get to use it:). I can't whait to try the bottom tracking feature out.
  24. Any of you know what the plastic part on the rigger boom is that tightens the boom down is called? I got a new Digi-Troll, took the thing out of the box tonight and the plastic insert fell out of the boom the little plastic nuby had broke off. I cant believe that little plastic part holds the boom together on a $1200 rigger. Its not on the part list in the manual. Before I sit on hold with cannon I would like to know what to ask for. If they try to charge me for it like they did the $4 rod holder end cap, I had to order last week for the $250 dollar rod holder that it fell off of (no glue from factory but direction with new end cap says add glue) I will just return it to dealer, but I will give them a shot first. Thanks Sean
