    HDS gen 2 or later. That includes HDS gen 3 also, carbon, live, etc. If it isn't a HDS model it wont work.     Had a similar intermittent problem when hooked to the main fuel tank. Tried a check valve and that helped but still happened on occasion. Just to prove a point, I would run the 9.9 off a small outboard type tank for a while. Sent from my SM-J737V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Definitely not the wire. LED'S must be wired in the proper polarity to work. An LED is basically a one way flow control valve for electrons. You can think of it as a ball check valve in a hydraulic system. In the case of an LED, electrons will move thru in one direction but if wired backwards they will not flow and therefore, no lighting. Electron flow in one direction and inhibit in the other is the basic property and purpose for a diode. A LED happens to be a Light Emitting Diode. .     Had to find an alternative to the lake since I am watching my 8 yr old granddaughter who is off from school. Decided to kill some time at one of my childhood hangouts, The Seven Tubs area on the east mountain of Wilkes Barre, Pa. This is Laurel Run Creek, a designated wild trout stream and loaded with small native brook trout. Easily caught half dozen 6 inch brookies quickly. Of course, released all. Gorgeous little fish.     A recommendation for your SS hardware. Instead of running all over creation looking for the right screws and bolts, order it from McMaster Carr online. They have everything imaginable and ship quickly. If using the boat mainly in fresh water , 304 Stainless is good and a bit less expensive.     I bought 8 Okuma Coldwater reels (45 size) for salmon a few years ago. Liked them except for creep when used on a dipsies and sticky drags all the time. Called Okuma after about 2 years and even though they were out of warranty, they gave me an authorization number to send to Tuna's. I only paid shipping out there.
