    Last year my perco switch was placed on the wrong setting, my battery which handles my electronics of course ran down and was useless. By the time I figured it out it was to late, my main motor would not turn over. Not ahuge problem, but a large storm was comming fast. My 9.9 kicker saved my butt! So needless to say, 2 batteries is a must if I could I would run 3 if it was possible on my rig, If you think about what electronics you run all at once, it will be a no brainer. (riggers,stereo, FF, Fishhawk, GPS, Bildge, ) etc Goodluck

    Wow what a story SK8man, I had one of those brutes last year, not a huge fish, low 20's but a real warrior. I often wonder how a 20lber could out fight a larger 28 or even a 30lber! Could it have any thing to do with hook placement in the fishes jaw? Anyway super story, Congrats!

    Good advise from Madperry, I have noticed the same things. Low 50 degrees works for me also, along with down speed of lure. I like to see 2.7 to 2.8 along with some bait and you will be surprized how many fish you will catch, even if your not marking any! Don't forget to set some baits up higher, last week we caught kings out of temp. and never marked them! Plus then you may pick up some trout also. Good luck with your hawk!

    Had it happen to me , it sucks! Reelpower is exactly correct. The insurance co. loves to use the depresation card. Sorry for your loss
