  1. Now there is an enlightened approach. You can't fix that type of thinking.
  2. You have every right to be proud of her Kevin and I salute her for being a wonderful caring person
  3. I think (unfortunately) the only way some folks would get this is by going to NYC and helping load bodies of their fellow New Yorkers into body bags...the reality would become all too clear then. The health care workers are taking the hit for the rest of us and some do not seem to fathom the depth of that.
  4. Beautifully said and I hope all works out well.
  5. It is designed to remove your civilian identity (self-centerdness) and replace it with a team identity for the duration of your enlistment, but the sense of belonging and concern for society (i.e. the group) should remain. That is probably what I should have said initially. It has nothing to do with being weak or weak minded.
  6. Redacted. Sorry I snapped but the whining has gotten to me.
  7. They are not in at the south end. There is the handicapped dock available at the north end.
  8. Why on Earth can't people get past selfish self interest and do what is right for everyone concerned? Is it really that difficult?
  9. The only drawback is that the perch have probably become extinct

My father-in-law would say the guy is "operating on low voltage"
  11. If you are not encountering water fleas braid is your best bet 10-30 lb. Any mono will have substantial stretch very little to none with braid and it has smaller diameter for less water resistance (e.g. Power Pro etc.).
  12. Very well said. There has never been a time in my memory at least that the importance of maintaining a rational perspective has been more important, and having a sense of moral responsibility to our citizenry of paramount concern.
  13. sThis should be a lot simpler than people are making it. Respect your family, friends, neighbors, and fellow Americans by following the rules set forth. Nobody likes it. It is inconvenient and engenders the emotional reaction of "Nobody is going to tell me what to do or that I can't go fishing etc." This is a time to put our personal preferences and differences aside and pull together to help slow down this emerging train wreck. Putting self or others at risk is immature, selfish, and not in the spirit of being a good citizen at the very least. This is the most serious situation we have had in a long long time and in my lifetime I have never seen one this potentially disasterous.
  14. Keith is right no time for BSing. This stuff is serious and the current directives (e.g. stay home) are clear. It is a shame that some folks can't abide by the rules relating to this situation. By the end of this scourge we may be losing family and/or friends so lets all do our part to not let the "social contagion" join this highly contagious and deadly disease. We all need to cooperate and stick together as Americans (and to the larger extent the world). It is no time for petty BS, arguing, or non-adherence to directives. Yes it is very inconveniencing but lets roll with it and abide by the rules, and think positive thoughts and hpe for the best.
  15. He fishes the ocean (Maine)
  16. There was one right in city in Canandaigua during the Fall. Saw him on way to pick up my son to go fishing in early AM but I got a real good close up look at him as he crossed the street
  17. Nice rig
  18. x2 on Fisher Pine Martens do have a wide variation in color but the size and tail as well as the shape/size of head of Fisher and Marten are quite different. A Marten looks more like a Weasel.
  19. When I had my 13 ft Whaler I had two 6 gal tanks up in the bow on either side with extended gas lines one to main and one to kicker. I felt I needed the separate gas tanks because I often fished out near the shipping lanes back then (a lot of strange looks form the tanker folks) Never a problem with them and it did keep the bow down during planing. Could free up room in the back for you.
  20. Next you'll be splitting your own arrows Bill
  21. It is a 14 ft boat and I think you are right about not having 2 heavy batteries in the back of it along with your gas tank. The Suzuki looks like a nice motor. Just another consideration: Is there anyone nearby that services them? Usually the small motors are pretty problem free but not always. By the way onlineoutboards were good to deal with when I bought my Tohatsu from them.
