I only been on one charter . the weather was bad and the fishing was worse . the four of us paid for the charter and gave the mate 100 bucks on way off the boat . that mate work his butt off in down pouring rain . that's been 20 years ago been fishing trout and salmon on our own ever cents

I run spin docs with pro trolls at same time they both work well I put spin doc on riggers and pro troll on the dipsy I have both divers mags and # 1s will say when letting out the mag diver let it out real slow or they like to turn around and wont release 300 ft out comes back to boat like pulling a tank not fun

left dock at 6 am set up in 125 flow probe rigger at 65 fish hawk read 47 for temp 2.2 for speed with wonder bread mag spoon hit a small king on that set up . around 170 flow next fish came on a dipsy rod out 240 0n 3 setting with spin doc chrome green dot with hammer fly landed a 22# king in 230 flow didn't mark much fish or bait fished out to 400 flow and back to 125 flow pick up at noon had very little fleas. at cleaning station some guys had 1 to 2fish tops cant find a bait shop open in the morning any more larry's or screwy louies could not get cut bait

so I been fishing the big lake ( Ontario ) with not much luck for us. my buddy and I went to keuka lake this morning hit the water at 6 am ran to the south about 2 miles down from state park . set up with the seth greens the sonar was filled with marks top to bottom not a laker to be had same old luck round 9 am hit our first fish we were bucking into the wind so I could not come off the wheel no biggie my buddy is a pro with the seth green rod brings the fish to top grabs the net starts pulling the leader the fish was on. didn't the fish get into the kicker with a prop guard on it ( tail first ) stalled the kicker I jump on the I/o before the wind turned us round he lifts up kicker 7 lb laker stuck in prop lol takes spoon out of jaws then the fish. yes we had sushi . he starts putting leaders back down, throws whole leader and spoon to the fish gods same old luck lol we pick up one more laker in doing so his hat blows off into the lake same old luck . that was it we quit went back to ramp talk to one other guy said had no luck .

I like marlin 7 to 1 strand wire color coffee 1000ft on 10ft ugly stik dipsy rod with twili tip I used some mono backing on the reel to keep wire from spinning on reel. never been spooled came close on nice 35 ponder took 5th place in the loc derby the other guys with me pulled the other rods then we chase the fish down. to me wire rods sounds great when fish start ripping off wire good luck have fun

yes flashers catch more fisher men than fish lol keep putting them down and have fun

after reading that Chinook driver are the thing to have I order one came today. I was wondering why it did not come with rear ring to tie leader to. so what is the best to use spit ring or some thing like what a spin doctor would come with would it make spin doctor work wrong with two snap swivels one on each end of leader ? thank for the help

what ever happen to large teaser meat heads ? iam not so hip on the d/w rigs head to wide for strips hard to bend tail to tune. been on web looking but all I see is out of stock. any one know where to buy some / thanks .

140 to 160 flow is where all are fish came from. wire at 180 feet riggers 60 and 70 . most marks whear at 60 and did see a few at 120

i went out of sodus for frist time this year gas prices are a big factor for me past years would have made 2 trips west looking for kings . i live close to seneca lake so thats where ive been playing . but i miss the reel burning big fish of ontairo witch i think is not what it used to be in the east, need the kings to come back in numbers

I too went out sunday . was on lake at 5 30 till 11 00 boated two cohos small set up in 40 flow troll to 200 flow . most marks where in 100 ft to 50 flow 40 to 50 ft down . I just cant get a hot day in sodus sure is not the oak. what happen to the kings
