  1. More photos in the bass section, 7 fish, 114 lbs total for the morning, 3.5 hours on Thursday 5/7.
  2. Worms are 11.50 a doz. fishing out of Marlboro, yep the males have been dripping since Tuesday. Banner morning today, 7 fish over 32 to 37 inch, 22 lbs tops, all in 3.5 hours. We fish worms with 1 oz weights drifting deep holes down only 13 to 18 ft, awesome when they grab them and race for the bottom.
  3. . Some of the better stripers in the past week up to 22 lbs.
  4. Hit the Hudson Tuesday for 8 hours, only 8 boated but some better size this trip. These 3 went 11, 15, 20 lbs, kept 2 slot fish for dinner, back out tomorrow.
  5. 18inch to 28 or over 40, one fish total per person.
  6. Thought I would get the stripers some exposure. I'll be up a lot next few weeks out of Marlboro. we landed 15 on 5/1, headed back on Tuesday.
  7. Very nice start to season, I knew you'd be on them. Keep them coming, great stuff.
  8. I have same unit basically, came with charts that show depth contours only along shorelines, I got a chip for mine for ontario.
  9. The Hudson is my home in May. Yea I'd like to fish browns and eyes in the spring again but I keep my boat there on the water in May, the easiest fishing out there with the chance to put a fish 20lbs in the boat each trip, soaking blood worms on a drift. If you want some relaxing fishing, this is it and it's 2 hours from my home. The cost is 25 for gas and 50 bucks for bait, can't beat it.
  10. Boat US saved me a 1200 tow across highway and delivered a hub assembly and mechanic to my broke down trailer and towed my boat back to port , total cost was 65 bucks for hub assembly, I'm way ahead on that membership.
  11. 3 way swivel , one line, diver on bottom, floater, spoon on top. Longer leader on top.
  12. I'd contact Fleetracker, he got bored catching them last spring. I fished oswego awhile back at night, largest rapalas trolled up and down river. It was a frigging zoo, wagon train going in circles until coast guard showed up. First and last trip to oswego for eyes.
  13. I have a power tilt 35 model, after a lot of reading, I decided against the spring loaded unit because of issues of flex on long trailer rides. I would check your paperwork as some of the units recommend NOT trailering motor mounted on brackets. In fact, I would call the company and ask. Just an FYI.
  14. I've got 2 rigs that are pre 1994, not gonna chance pulling old hose material, gas tank dirt and extra water into an outboard costing thousands of bucks when I have another option, Break Out Another Thousand is bad enough! I've got water seperators and treated non ethanol for my rigs.
  15. Good for you! Hope all the best with your new fishing buddy.
  16. Anybody try the new rapala scatter raps? Picked a few to try on trout in the jointed version.
  17. Whatever works for you, the past eagle and lowrance units I've had ,had a short life. I've moved to raymarine.
  18. Saw today that February was the coldest on record here in SE pa.
  19. Fished it plenty for eyes at one time. Eyes have a slot limit here, I believe it's still applicable unless they removed it. I fished it for bass on ocassion, good smallies on spinnerbaits along rocky shorelines. My daughter caught plenty off the docks on crayfish. We stayed at the resort across from yours, they have a small grocery store and gas for sale. Normally we trolled up eyes here morning and evening over basin areas. Lots of guys jig shoals. They have maps also at the resort we used. Good place for eyes in the 16 to 22 inch range with some up to 24 inch. I believe bass open later there, 3rd Saturday in June? I would look into it.
  20. Been working 60 hour weeks the last month, get home at 5, eat, watch some tv, in the rack at 8pm, will continue till march 19th. The only release I get now is Sunday crow hunts.
  21. Merland park is alright if you don't mind not having a docking space when you come in at dusk. I rent a house on Picton bay with a dock I know will be empty when I come in.
  22. 42 years ago, spike buck, still got the picture with the woolrich 20 lb pants on. Boy did they suck to walk in.
  23. I use the torch also, works great with the wide tip.
