  1. I had the same problem last year. You need a new trim switch. Get's moisture in it.
  2. Agreed~only a matter of when. I noticed your boat at Wrights the other day. Sweet rig you have!!
  3. I have the Okuma GLT rods. I'm not crazy about them. Kind of a meat stick~imo. But have the backbone for the longer coppers. I prefer a rod with a softer tip. Might get the 9' Ugly stiks later on down the road for the shorter copper's.
  4. Thanks for all the replies/opinions! I went with X4D...my FF is a DSI model and doesn't mark my DR weights often enough. I fished this morning and played with the settings on both 455/800 frequencies. Sometimes it will for a short time. I believe the cone is too narrow. Thus, the D part will be useful. BTW~Northwoods wholesale outlet is $100 cheaper than all the other places on the internet. You have to call to get a price. I paid $649. An absolute steal! They quoted me $529 on the X4.
  5. I usually can't. I think my ducer needs to be pulled up a tad.
  6. I'm torn on which one i should get. What are your thoughts and why?
  7. I'd go stronger. You need a quality swivel: sampo, torpedo or dreamweaver~IMO.
  8. Probably not too good. I bought their 30 lbs flea-less stuff to try.
  9. I tie on a 8 ft section of 30 lbs big game to the dipsey. No snubber and the the other end to one of the dream weaver swivels that comes with a spin dr. For spoons I do a 8 ft section of 20 lbs Floro and a small swivel.
  10. I brine my strips. After a fish or a lure change...i put fresh on. And put the other strip back into the brine (if it's not too beat up).
  11. I think the website was abandoned...but never shut down. He's still making spoons. Most are his new style with uv stickers. He had some pics up on here awhile back. Personally, I'll order from FL tackle.
  12. Yup~Sodus, Oswego, Genesee. Oneida lake too.
  13. I painted my 12.5's with that roof stop leak stuff that comes in a spray can. It takes a few days to dry/cure. But it's pretty durable and is flat black in color.
