  1. We're going to have an early winter. When was the last time you saw a robin. A lot of people don't realize it but they left the area four weeks ago.
  2. Hi Folks, I need some help with a reel question. I bought a Penn 345GT2 that I want to set it up for 300 foot of copper. I have a plastic piece that fits around the pole and attaches to the reel. There are 2 screws, 2 small nuts and (2) 3/4" threaded studs. I'm not sure it the screws connect to the studs or do I use the nuts with the screws. It does not say in the instruction manual. Thanks, Erskin
  3. Hi YodaMage, I sent you a couple PM's. Is the mold still available? Thanks, Erskin
  4. Can you guys do one this fall or winter? I would have definately gone to your seminar but it's during the Niagara Pro Am and I am going to be there.
  5. These are the folks we need to remember in November and support them at election time.
  6. I know people who smoked and died as a result of lung cancer. I don't know anyone who died from eating fresh wild fish. What do think are in those pellets at the fish farm from farm raised fish. Or the beef that is loaded with steroids so they can grow faster and be sold quicker.Be more concerned about the food we buy in the grocery stores and fast food chains. If you have ever picked fresh strawberrys, you see in a couple of days how they start to look old. Why is it that? You can buy strawberrys at certain stores and put them in the fridge and two weeks later they still look fresh? They are treated with who knows what. The next time you go to McDonalds buy a small bag of french fries. Bring it home, place it in see through a container and check it out a month or two later. They will still look the same. That's not normal. They should have started to decompose after a week but they are treated with something. Just like the fruit and vegetables we buy in the winter time that come from Peru, Chili and any of the other countries that do not have FDA regulations like we do in the US. Me, I'll stick to salmon, perch, walleyes, bluegills, venison, rabbits, squirrels and chicken once in a while. And if you have a spot in your yard, plant yourself a garden for the summer and fall so you and your family know what you are eating. If you have small kids, thay have a ton of fun planting seeds and watching things grow that they planted. They don't have such a hard time eating their veggies when they take pride in something they grew. I know from experience. Sorry for drifting away from the original question, I got carried away.
  7. I don't have them at the top like I did last year?? They are not here at all.
  8. My kid loves breaking them and we fight over who's going to break them. I like doing it at the office when things are quiet and I turn up the speaker and let loose. The ladies go beserk.
  9. I've seen this guy before and his rack is big. It was wide last year.
  10. Was he in Brockport?
  11. I saw that buck last September 2011. His rack was not as big but it was wide.
  12. Who and where is Hank. I'm not happy with the place I have been going to. I might trailer my boat to Hank this winter.
  13. My wife is ready to put away her Bills jackets and sweatshirt till next year. It's amazing to see how many people wear Bills jackets, hats and sweatshirts when they are doing good and all of a sudden they disappear when they are doing bad.
  14. Rob, I asked this same question on September 15 and there have been 454 views but no reply. I'm still waiting also.
  15. I have a small boat and I wear my life vest and so does anyone else on my boat. Even when it's 90 degrees in the summer. My motto is this and it's the same about packing a pistol when I'm out, especially in the city, "It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it". It's like a seat belt. You never know when something might happen
  16. Went to Irondequoit yesterday (Saturday). Fished in 24,30, 40,50 and 59 FOW. The water is very warm still. I caught two bullhead, four perch, six sunfish and a bunch of silver bass. The silver bass were a pain. Only one perch was decent size. It's still a little early yet. The weird thing was one of the bullhead had several of these large black spots and markings on it. On the top of the head, side of the face and on one side between the dorsal fin and tail. Some of the spots were the size of a dime. Never seen anything like it. Any ideas????
  17. All of these flies,( streamers, nymphs, dry, wet and mylar trolling, stickbaits, crankbaits, plugs and spoons have one thing in common. They all try to mimic live bait.
  18. My friend and I were at the Oak several years ago in front of the Black North. They were jumping all around us but we couldn't get them to hit. I tried every spooon and stick bait in the box and they wouldn't hit. what were we doing wrong?
  19. I have to laugh. Sunday night my wife said she wanted to find her Bills seatshirt and jacket. I said, "Oh sure, now they win a few games and everyone is going to start wearing their Bills clothes". I remember the guys where I used to work used to do that. As soon as the team start bombing out in the season, everybody stopped wearing their Bills clothes. Give me a break.
  20. Where can I find the Pro Am results for Oswego and Wayne County 2012? They are not on the Pro Am website
  21. Finders Keepers was right. You should thank him for the warning. If you were around Saturday afternoon you would have seen what he was talking about. There are still a lot of areas without power. This is part of an article from this morning. The unsettled weather, part of a cold front that crossed over the Eastern Seaboard, toppled trees and power lines and damaged buildings as it passed through. Wind gusts reached 70 mph in some places. In New York City, videos taken by bystanders showed a funnel sucking up water, then sand, and then small pieces of buildings as the first tornado moved through the Breezy Point section of the Rockaway peninsula in Queens. At the Breezy Point Surf Club, it ripped the roofs off rows of cabanas, scattered deck chairs and left a heavy metal barbecue and propane tank sitting in the middle of a softball field, at least 100 yards from any home. "It picked up picnic benches. It picked up Dumpsters," said the club's general manager, Thomas Sullivan Across New York state, in Buffalo, strong winds blew roofing off some buildings and sent bricks falling into the street. The city of Albany canceled the evening portion of an outdoor jazz festival because of the threat of storms. With wind gusts reaching up to 60 mph, the storms moved into New England, flooding roads, toppling trees and snapping power lines. For about three hours, the storm barraged western Massachusetts, western Connecticut and part of New Hampshire before tapering off near Rhode Island, but not before flooding roads in East Providence, the National Weather Service said
