    It’s just about on. I have been running JPlugs and kings are crushing them. Love running them. Skippers leave them alone. Love the way kings strike them. Violent!

    That is truly awful. I took one in the thumb on Saturday. Was so thankful the barb didn’t penetrate.

    In my opinion it happens when running trebles. Dual singles hold fish so much better.

    Forecast called for one to threes. More like two to fours with an occasional five. Oh well. Took a first timer out today. Got beat up a little but ended up 6 for 8 by 11 am. Worked 225 to 325. Meat never got hit so switched to two #3 J Plugs. One on diver down 85 and a diver out 170. Guy was amazed.

    Took a little longer to box 12 kings today but had them by noon. Temp was funky, our best water was 225 to 325. 400 copper and divers and riggers down 80 worked best.

    One of those mornings. 150 to 250. Fish came from 60 to 110 down. Flasher meat was strong and deep rigger pulling a mag J Plug was a stud. From 6:30 to 9 we boated over 20 kings and a couple steelhead. Couldn’t close the cooler lid. Was back at the dock by 10.

    When I take friends that are new to Lake Ontario, especially with kids and wives, I only run coppers as a last resort. Having them work rigger and diver rods is a much more enjoyable experience for them.

    Older boy on our boat yesterday out of Sandy while I was out on Lake Runner. Tommy out on his little boat in the background. Pretty cool.

    Like everyone else we had a good day today. Caught a lot of fish this weekend but nothing over 20lbs Meanwhile my younger boy in his 15 foot Whaler, two diver rods, no riggers or coppers pulled this out of 75 feet of water out of Sandy. one of the great things about our fishery is that you just never know lol.

    I would start inside. 80 to 150 would probably be pretty active. Supposed to be cloudy. Perfect.

    Pretty sure she was focused and thankful her life was saved. Was pretty dicey. Of course nothing was said within earshot of her but not surprised by your comment.

    That was pretty nuts. Empty pontoon boat getting hammered by waves. Empty till I saw the screaming lady getting bashed by the motor. In the water and no life jacket on. Got her up on the deck only for her to tumble back in. Get her up on the back deck when I saw Rick and the rescue boat. “Got a big one today?” Says Rick as he pulls up to assist (she was a big gal lol. all is well that ends well. So cool to have the assistance of people like Rick. it is a great community and I enjoy helping folks get on fish. I’m out a lot so always happy to help those that get out less often.
